Highly reliable and field-proven, the ADF 3500 direction finding systems by BECKER AVIONICS are trusted by the most reputed aircraft manufacturers. Suited for rotary and fixed wing applications, the ADF 3500 can be operated either in a standalone fashion or within EFIS, FMS or integrated flight deck systems.
The ADF 3502-() Receiver is designed for professional applications in the frequency range 190.0 kHz to 1799.5 kHz. The system is ideally suited for installations where minimum space is available. The small, lightweight control unit CU 5502 fits into a standard 2 ¼” (57mm) round instrument cutout and is only 2 ½” deep. The ADF Receiver can be installed at any convenient place in the aircraft. The RS 422 interface between CU and Rx reduces inter-wiring. The control unit CU 5502 offers a clear, high contrast, double line display, which is readable under all lighting conditions, even in bright sunlight. The frequency can be selected in 0.5 kHz/1kHz, 10 kHz/100 kHz steps by using variable speed frequency control. The pre-selection in the channel memory of the preset display allows instant switchover by pushing a “Flip-Flop” key to a new NDB en-route for indication of the cross bearing for a position fix relatively to a second NDB. The output of the receiver is compatible with indicator ID 3502 and the converter AC 5303/04 for RMI.
The ADF 3500 system features an extensive automatic self-test function. After switch-on, the microprocessor and the frequency synthesizer are thoroughly checked by a test subroutine. The remote receiver RA 3502-() unit can also be controlled by CDU of FMS systems.
JTSO certified for either VFR or IFR use in all types of fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft, the ADF receiver can also be combined with other Becker Prime Line equipment, such as VHF-COM, NAV-VOR/ILS navigation and Mode S transponder systems which have similar control units, providing a pleasant presentation in the panel.
RA3502 REMOTE ADF RECEIVER SYSTEM Features:
Compact and lightweight design

It features a bright, sunlight-readable digital display, a pressure altitude readout, handy timers for approaches and other operations, plus dedicated pushbuttons for quick and easy squawk code entry. Its 1090 MHz ADS-B "Out" transmission capability enables automatical output of accurate and dynamic traffic surveillance data that the NextGen airspace system requires. Its ADS-B "In" reception unlocks even more capabilities for pilots, enabling display of ADS-B traffic, weather and more on a variety of installed or portable displays. Traffic monitoring requirements of ADS-B can be satisfied by either a WAAS/SBAS-compliant navigation system or an optional built-in GPS position source available with your GTX 345 transponder.
Optional remote mount GTX versions are also available for compatibility with the GTN™ 750/650 series of GPS/Comm/Nav systems, as well as select Garmin G1000® integrated flight deck systems – all of which provide built-in remote transponder code selection and control.

GARMIN® GTX™ 330 is a panel-mounted IFR-certified 250 W, Mode S digital transponder with traffic datalink capability and dedicated pushbutton keys for squawk code selection. The GTX™ 330 series brings ATC aircraft surveillance to new levels of precision, reliability and performance. Optionally available with 1090 MHz extended squitter transmission, certified to TSO-C166b authorization, the GTX™ 330 ES (Extended Squitter) provides an affordable pathway to ADS-B compliance for the Next Generation airspace system. The extended squitter technology enables transponders to automatically transmit traffic surveillance data (including aircraft flight ID, position, altitude, velocity, climb/descent, and heading information) compared to traditional Mode S and Mode C transponders, which can only broadcast altitude, and thus require a ground-based radar to correlate and identify the aircraft's position. In addition, simultaneous broadcast of this information to TAS or TCAS equipped aircraft, enables them to essentially see the same traffic picture for their location that ATC is watching on the ground. The “ES” upgrade provides a ADS-B Out solution but an input from an approved position source is still needed as GTX™ 330 does not have a WAAS GPS.
GARMIN® GTX™ 330 is discontinued and replaced by GTX™ 335, an entry-level ADS-B Out model with a version integrating an internal WAAS GPS. If ADS-B In capability is required then the the GTX™ 345 transponder should be selected.

The HONEYWELL BENDIX KING® TSO'd KN 63 DME is a complete 100 watt, 200-channel remote DME system utilizing Large Scale Integrated (LSI) circuit technology. Offering significant advantages in DME reliability and performance, the KN 63 is all solid-state (no transmitter tubes) and can be installed with either single or dual panel indicators. The BENDIX KING® KDI-572 or KDI-574 DME Displays can be used as master display controls and information displays from this remote DME transceiver.
Distances up to 389 nm (at line-of-sight altitude), ground speeds up to 999 knots and time-to-station up to 99 minutes are computed digitally and displayed simultaneously on the KDI 574 panel display. Distance lock-on is virtually instantaneous (usually within one second) with accurate groundspeed and time-to-station readouts following in less than a minute.
Installation Kit for use with HONEYWELL BENDIX KING® KN 63 DME Transceivers is also available at additional cost.
The KN 63 DME are also offered in USED OVERHAULED Condition at competitive prices with proper certification. Contact us for availability and a quotation.
HONEYWELL BENDIX KING® Silver Crown Plus line of Panel Mounted 100 watt KN 62A and 50 watt KN 64 DMEs are self-contained, 200-channel systems, redesigned faceplates for improved readings' illumination, larger and sturdier knobs providing a more precise feel and Bendix/King trusted quality and reliability. Both the KN 62A and KN 64 DMEs can be channeled remotely through almost any NAV receiver, or tuned directly with their own frequency selection knobs. Their dual channeling capability offers two DME frequencies at all times, one remote and one internally stored. Their display shows either simultaneous DME distance, groundspeed and time-to-station, or DME distance and internally selected frequency. They operate on any DC voltage from 11 to 33 without adapters or power converters while due to their modest power requirements no external cooling is needed. Racks & connectors (for new installations) are sold separately.
The KN-62A DME is the TSO'd version of the popular and powerful KN-62 DME. Also available with a harmonic transmission filter (-01 version) required in Europe. The King KN-64 DME represents a compromise between the KN-62 and KN-62A DMEs but with a lower transmission power (nominally rated at 50 watts) than either the KN-62/KN-62A DMEs (100 watts).
HONEYWELL BENDIX KING® KN 62A and KN 64 DMEs are available in NEW condition or can be furnished as USED in Serviceable or Overhauled conditions indicated respectively by the letters "SV" and "OH" in the product reference numbers (SKU) and accompanied by the relevant certification (e.g. yellow tag, 8130-3 form). They are also offered as exchanges / trade-ins for returned customer owned units indicated by the letter "EX" in the SKU. Different versions exist including the standard version (-00 ) and the version with Silver Crown Plus faceplate. Please refer to the Product Description section for technical specifications and information on USED DMEs.
