In-Flight & General Use...

Rest products are commonly used during travelling and leisure activities and span from small accessories such as travel pillows and camping mats to complete bed systems used in airlines, corporate jets, railways, ships and other means of transport.

In aircraft operating on long haul flights, secret compartments equipped with lie-flat beds are used for crew to rest and sleep. On smaller aircraft,  a few rows of passenger seats in the passenger cabin are reserved for crew rest.

Different types of mattresses integrating respective technologies are offered by various manufacturers depending on their intended application.Air mattresses (aka Air beds) utilize a series of air chambers to provide sleepers with comfort and support.Their benefits include a lightweight design, low price, and easy storage. Memory foam mattresses are made up of several dense foam layers and provide benefits such as pressure relief from conforming to the body, enhanced spinal alignment, and motion isolation. Some models include cooling technologies to counteract heat retention. Commonly used as mattresses for crew rest in aviation meeting U.S. Federal Aviation Regulation FAR 25.853  that sets flammability standards for materials used in aircraft interiors. Hybrid mattresses offer a balance of comfort and support by combining foam layers with a pocketed coil system. Their benefits include pressure relief, better spinal alignment, improved airflow for cooling, and reduced motion transfer. Natural latex mattresses are environmentally friendly  and considered to last longer than traditional ones. Also offered from synthetic latex. These mattresses offer pressure relief by conforming to body curves while maintaining spinal alignment, are resistant to dust mites and mold, and have an open-cell structure for better airflow.

Complete bed systems in Aviation are commonly encountered in private jets, corporate aircraft , VIP cabins & lounges but also as commercial jet retrofits. Portable systems are equipped with a rechargeable battery-powered air pump as an inflation mechanism of the foundation and folding the ends of the mattress  in place over the aircraft seats. Bed accessories such as matrtress covers, pillows, and linen are also offered.

Listed products and materials are supplied as OEM parts of their respective manufacturers or as parts of our own labelled (AVIATIONEU NEW ERA) product lines. For additional information please refer to the supplied documentation or contact us.

3M E-A-R CONFOR™ Urethane...

The CONFOR™ foam family (formerly Temperfoam™) by Aearo Technologies LLC (E-A-R), are open cell elastomeric, ergonomic, urethane foams forming part of their specialty foams for comfortable seating, crash protection and noise and vibration control.

CONFOR™ foams offer enduring seating comfort, and absorb a much higher amount of impact shock compared to common polyfoam. They can be used for long period seating applications in aviation, automotive, recreational, office, in medical hospital bedding, sports equipment, wheelchair cushions, industrial operations, or as protective packaging for high value devices.

Standard CONFOR™ product line has been replaced by CONFOR™ M & AC RoHS compliant foams with the same slow recovery attributes as the replaced ones. They come in different sheet sizes (the most popular 16" x 18", 18" x 20", 18" x 24"),and densities, corresponding to different foam weights per cubic foot and denoted by a respective color code (Yellow/Very Soft (CF40 M/AC), Pink/Soft (CF42 M/AC), Blue Medium ((CF45 M/AC), and Green Firm (CF47 M/AC).

CONFOR™ M slow-recovery foams, offer a unique combination of physical characteristics, high energy absorption properties and temperature-softening behavior. They provide impact protection and isolation for dynamic loads, while maintaining consistent static load performance. Their unique combination of slow recovery and high energy absorption allows these materials to offer effective damping and vibration isolation. In addition, as open-celled foams, they are breathable, non-irritating in dermal contact, and thus suitable for highly diverse applications, for medical and body contact cushioning applications to electronics packaging. The respective CONFOR™ AC foams have been engineered for the aircraft market. They are flame resistant and comply with FAR 25.853(a) Appendix F Part I (a)(1)(ii)(12 sec) burn specification requirements, consisting an excellent choice for use on aircraft. CONFOR™ CF42AC & CF45AC foams  are softer and provide more comfort. CONFOR™ green firm density foam CF47AC provides the best energy absorption protection.

CONFOR™ AC foams are offered in different thicknesses, as solid pieces (e.g. in 1" thickness) or various pre-built  laminates resulting in higher thicknesses. DYNAFOAM is also often used as comfort foam on top of CF-47AC foams. Indicative offered laminations include:

- 1" thickness CF47AC sheet and 0.5" thickness DYNAFOAM sheet. Total laminate size - 16" x 18" x 1.5". Ideal balance for most pilots.

- 1" thickness CF45AC and 1" thickness CF47AC sheet. Total laminate size - 16" x 18" x  2". Ideal for maximizing safety providing comfort at the same time.

- 0.5" thickness CF47AC and 0.5" thickness DYNAFOAM sheet. Total laminate size - 16" x 18" x 1". Ideal for tall pilots with minimal head clearance.

Third party accessories, such as protective covers, are also available to maximize CONFOR™ foam life.

H3R Aircraft Fire...

Aviation Fire Extinguishers by H3R Aviation, Inc. include Halon, Halotron 1, Halotron BrX and wheeled  fire extinguishers. They are considered Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) with respective packaging & certification requirements.

H3R RT Series Liquefied Gas Portable Extinguishers are popular general aviation fire extinguishers, and standard equipment on many light aircraft due to their light weight,  low maintenance and a 12 year shelf life. They contain a unique blend of liquefied gas 1211/1301, two highly effective fire fighting agents. These units are self expelling which means that the pressure remains constant even when the extinguishers are almost empty. They are available in different models with respective charge weights in lbs.

H3R A344T Halon 1211 Aircraft Fire Extinguisher is the company's smallest fire extinguisher with a gauge, similar in size but heavier than the Halon blend model RT A600. Recommended for a 1-4 person aircraft, including the pilot.

H3R C352TS and C354TS models of Halon 1211 fire extinguishers can be used for cockpit/cabin and is found on a wide variety of commercial and general aviation aircraft, from Boeings to Cessnas. C352TS fire extinguisher is of same size tand uses the same mounting bracket with C354TS model except that the C354TS  fire extinguisher carries twenty percent more Halon 1211 than C352TS.

H3R  Halotron 1 series of fire extinguishers use Halotron® 1 the most widely tested and accepted Halon 1211-alternative agent for streaming applications. Just like Halon 1211, Halotron® 1 expels as a rapidly evaporating liquid and leaves no residue.

H3R Halotron BrX series of fire extinguishers use Halotron BrX clean agent making them ideal options for those seeking to replace Halon 1211 fire extinguishers due to regulatory or environmental considerations. Halotron BrX is a UL, ISO, EN, EASA and FAA compliant Halon 1211 alternative. A low GWP and very low ODP allowed Halotron BrX to be approved for use on commercial aircraft.

For more information on H3R fire extinguishers please consult the Product Description section.
