ROTAX 912 A Series are JAR22 certified four cylinder aircraft engines.  Model 912 A2 is suitable for fixed pitch propeller while model 912 A3 for constant speed propeller is the same as 912 A2 additionally with drive for hydraulic governor & cover for sealing of governor flange.

ROTAX 912 UL/912 ULS Series Aircraft Engines are four cylinder/four stroke non certified engines suitable for experimental and ultralight aircraft. Different models include 912 UL, 912 UL 3, 912 UL S2 as well as  and 912 UL S3 (UL 3/UL S3 models are for constant speed propeller). 912 UL 3 engine is the same as 912 UL engine additionally with drive for hydraulic governor & cover for sealing of governor flange and slipper clutch for reduction gearbox. 912 UL S3 engine is the same as  912 UL S2 engine additionally with drive for hydraulic governor & cover for sealing of governor flange. Different options are also available at additional cost. They can only be ordered at the time of ordering of the respective engine(s).

IMPORTANT NOTICE: 

In the course of continuous development and standardization, a new spark plug (part no. 297656) and new spark plug connector (part no. 265249) has been introduced in the following ROTAX engines:

912 A from S/N 4 411 409

912 F from S/N 4 413 102

912 S from S/N 9 564 321

912 UL from S/N 9 580 006

912 ULS from S/N 6 786 601

914 F from S/N 4 421 710

914 UL from S/N 9 576 014

912 iS Sport from S/N 7 704 206

912 iSc Sport from S/N 7 702 101

As per ROTAX Service Instruction it is not mandatory to retrofit engines which are currently equipped with old spark plug types and old spark plug connector types. However  it is not allowed to exchange individual parts. Mixing of spark plug types and spark plug connector types is not allowed. All spark plugs and spark plug connectors must be of the same part number for the entire engine.

ROTAX 914 F Series Four...

ROTAX 914 F Series Aircraft Engines are turbo charged four cylinder engines (115 hp) certified according to FAR-33 and JAR-E . A non certified model (914 UL) is also offered (please refer to the respective product presentation).

With a time between overhauls of 2.000 hrs these engines offer more performance at high altitudes while keeping weight at a low level. Model 914 F2 is suitable for aircraft equipped with a fixed pitch propeller while Model 914 F3 for constant speed propeller is the same as 914 F2  with additionally a drive for hydraulic governor, a cover for sealing of governor flange and a slipper clutch for reduction gear box. Different options are also available and can be supplied with the engine at additional cost.  They can only be ordered at the time of ordering of the respective engine(s).

ROTAX 914 UL Series Four...

ROTAX 914 UL Series Aircraft Engines are non certified  turbo charged four cylinder engines. Certified models of this engine (914 F2  and 914 F3) are also offered (please refer to the respective 914 F Series product presentation).

ROTAX 914 UL Series are intended for use in ultralight and experimental aircraft. Engine model 914 UL2 is suitable for aircraft equipped with a fixed pitch propeller and it is offered with or without slipper clutch installed. Engine model 914 UL3  is the same as 914 UL2  with additionally a drive for hydraulic governor, a cover for sealing of governor flange and a slipper clutch for reduction gear box. Different options are also available and can be supplied with the engine at additional cost.  They can only be ordered at the time of ordering of the respective engine(s).
