A fuel water detector can be used in jet fuel to detect the presence in jet fuels of finely dispersed water that is undetectable by the eye offering assurance to the user that the industry limits for water-free jet fuel are maintained.
Developed by SHELL® to address aircraft operational issues associated with ice formation in aircraft fuel tanks, SHELL® Water Detector is an easy-to-use, reliable and simple industry-standard test method that verifies that jet fuel meets the demanding aviation standards for water content. Using a syringe fitted with a Shell Water Detector capsule (sold seperately), it only takes a matter of moments to check the fuel at any stage of your delivery system.
SHELL® Water Detector capsules are offered in boxes containing 8 tubes of 10 capsules (80 capsules in total) or in single tubes of 10 capsules each. SHELL® Water Detectors have a useful life of four to six months.
SHELL® SYRB5 Water Detector 5ml Syringe is all nylon with record nozzle suitable for both manual and automatic sampling. It features a new type push plunger to draw fuel sample into the syringe.
