AVIATIONEU NEW ERA Grade...

Grade 410 is a basic general-purpose hardenable martensitic stainless steel alloy for highly stressed requirements, providing good corrosion resistance. Martensitic stainless steels are fabricated using techniques requiring final heat treatment. These grades are less resistant to corrosion when compared to those of austenitic. Their operating temperatures are often affected by their loss of strength at high temperatures, due to over-tempering and loss of ductility at sub-zero temperatures. Quenching and tempering can harden grade 410 steels while their corrosion resistance can be further enhanced by hardening, tempering and polishing.

410 is a very common grade used in many industries such as aerospace, power generation, and general industry. Generally used for applications requiring mild corrosion, heat resistance and high strength and ductility. Indicative examples include steam / gas turbine blades and buckets, bushings, valve components, fasteners, nuclear reactor control rod mechanisms, petrochemical equipment and machine parts.

AVIATIONEU NEW ERA MS/NAS...

MS internal wrenching bolts (superseding  NAS series) are offered as part of AVIATIONEU NEW ERA product lines. Sourced from quality producers, they are fabricated from 160-180 ksi high-strength steel and are intended for use in both tension and shear applications. Standard AN hex head bolts and washers cannot be substituted for them as they do not have the required strength. NAS 144 to 158 series are supeseded by MS 20004 to MS 20024 series. Refer to the supersedure chart provided.

These bolts are available in different total and grip lengths, thread pitches and diameters in inches as well as with drilled or undrilled heads and shanks. The head of the internal wrenching bolt is recessed to allow the insertion of an internal wrench when installing or removing the bolt. When they are used in steel parts, the bolt hole must be slightly countersunk to seat the large corner radius of the shank at the head. In Dural material, a special heat-treated washer must be used to provide an adequate bearing surface for the head. They should always be used with the designed companion washer MS20002C(size) under the head as these bolts have a noticeable radius at the head to shank juncture. Special high-strength nuts are used on these bolts. To develop full tension use an NAS1804-(size) 180ksi, or an MS21042-(size) 160ksi nut according to your requrements.

Unless specified by the following letters in the part numbers, internal wrenching bolts come with an Undrilled Shank and Undrilled Head.

"A"  Drilled Shank (NAS series)

"DH"  Drilled Head (NAS series)

"ADH"  Drilled Shank, Drilled Head (NAS series)

"H" Drilled Head (MS series)

Use these bolts with companion washers MS20002C(size) under the head and NAS1804-(size) 180ksi, or MS21042-(size) 160ksi high-strength nuts according to requrements.

They are available in two different material states (Normalized and Annealed) depending on the process of how the material is heated and cooled.

The Normalized condition (sometimes referred to as "Condition N") is the harder and stronger condition and is best used when forming is not needed. Normalizing relieves internal stress on steel and improves toughness in steels that may harden after the cold working process. The Annealed condition (sometimes referred to as "Condition A") is the softer and formable condition and is best used when forming is needed. Annealing relieves internal stresses, softens and makes the material more ductile.

4130 alloy steel (Chrome Moly) seamless round tubes are offered in Normalized (N )  or Annealed (A) conditions as part of our own branded (AVIATIONEU NEW ERA) product lines. They have been for years the standard of the aircraft industry. These tubes offer good strength and weldability without compromising steel abrasion or impact resistance and can also be made even stronger through heat treatment. They are commonly used in in structural applications, gears, fasteners, and aircraft exteriors. Tensile Strength: 90,000 PSI. Available in a range of outer diameters, wall thicknesses and pre-cut lengths in inches or cut to order (CTO) lengths of 12 inches (1 foot)) or multiples. Apperating price of CTO tubes is per foot (12 inches). Depending on the supplier, they comply with different standards/specifications, such as MIL-T6736 standard or ASTM/A S1906 specifications. Unless otherwise mentioned, there is additional cost if manufacturing test reports are required. For additional information, please refer to the supplied documentation or contact us.
