3M E-A-R CONFOR™ Urethane...

The CONFOR™ foam family (formerly Temperfoam™) by Aearo Technologies LLC (E-A-R), are open cell elastomeric, ergonomic, urethane foams forming part of their specialty foams for comfortable seating, crash protection and noise and vibration control.

CONFOR™ foams offer enduring seating comfort, and absorb a much higher amount of impact shock compared to common polyfoam. They can be used for long period seating applications in aviation, automotive, recreational, office, in medical hospital bedding, sports equipment, wheelchair cushions, industrial operations, or as protective packaging for high value devices.

Standard CONFOR™ product line has been replaced by CONFOR™ M & AC RoHS compliant foams with the same slow recovery attributes as the replaced ones. They come in different sheet sizes (the most popular 16" x 18", 18" x 20", 18" x 24"),and densities, corresponding to different foam weights per cubic foot and denoted by a respective color code (Yellow/Very Soft (CF40 M/AC), Pink/Soft (CF42 M/AC), Blue Medium ((CF45 M/AC), and Green Firm (CF47 M/AC).

CONFOR™ M slow-recovery foams, offer a unique combination of physical characteristics, high energy absorption properties and temperature-softening behavior. They provide impact protection and isolation for dynamic loads, while maintaining consistent static load performance. Their unique combination of slow recovery and high energy absorption allows these materials to offer effective damping and vibration isolation. In addition, as open-celled foams, they are breathable, non-irritating in dermal contact, and thus suitable for highly diverse applications, for medical and body contact cushioning applications to electronics packaging. The respective CONFOR™ AC foams have been engineered for the aircraft market. They are flame resistant and comply with FAR 25.853(a) Appendix F Part I (a)(1)(ii)(12 sec) burn specification requirements, consisting an excellent choice for use on aircraft. CONFOR™ CF42AC & CF45AC foams  are softer and provide more comfort. CONFOR™ green firm density foam CF47AC provides the best energy absorption protection.

AVIATIONEU NEW ERA...

Thermocouple and thermocouple extension wires are flexible, insulated wires the first used to link a thermocouple to a temperature control device or make the sensing point (or probe) of the thermocouple while the second to extend a thermocouple signal from a probe back to the measuring instrument reading the signal over long distances.

There are different types of thermocouples conctructed from 2 conductor solid core thermocouple grade specified gauge insulated wires with a positive and negative lead and an insulated outer jacket. Types N, K, E, J, T are base metal thermocouple wires  mostly used while Types S, R and B are precious metal thermocouple wires. Common Thermocouple Wire Types are outlined below while their more detailed presentation and characteristics are included in the Product Description section.

K-Type thermocouple (nickel-chromium (nickel-silicon - nickel-aluminum). Base metal thermocouple with strong oxidation resistance with a temperature measurement capability from 0 to 1300 °C.  Main disadvantages include among others a high-temperature stability of thermoelectric potential lower than of N-type and precious metal thermocouples and a poor short-term thermal cycle stability in the range of 250-500 °C.

T-Type thermocouple (copper-copper-nickel). It has the highest accuracy and good uniformity among the base metal thermocouples and an operating temperature between -200 and 350 ℃.

J-Type thermocouple (iron-constantan ). Suitable for reducing or inert atmosphere for vacuum oxidation, and the temperature range from -200 to 800 °C.

N-Type thermocouple (NiCrSi-NiSi). Features of the thermocouple are strong anti-oxidation ability in temperature regulation below 1300 °C, good long-term stability and short-term thermal cycle repeatability, good nuclear radiation resistance, and low-temperature resistance.

E-Type thermocouple (nickel-chromium-copper-nickel [constantan] thermocouple). Its thermoelectric potential is the highest among the commonly used thermocouples. Often selected for applications in conditions of high sensitivity, low thermal conductivity, and large resistance that can be tolerated. Less sensitive than Type K to corrosion in atmospheres containing higher humidity.

Thermocouple wires of diferent types and wire sizes (Gauges) are offered as part of own labelled (AVIATIONEU NEW ERA) product lines. Priced and sold by the foot and offered in specified or cut to order lengths (usually in 10 ft increments).

AVIATIONEU NEW ERA 4130...

Steel alloy 4130 (ST4130), also known as Chrome Moly after the 2 key elements of its composition, chromium, and molybdenum, is a general-purpose alloy steel widely used by the aviation and motorsports industries due to its weldability, fabrication, and mild hardenability in all offered forms (tubes, bars, sheets and plates). They are available in two different material states (Normalized and Annealed) depending on the process of how the material is heated and cooled.

The Normalized condition (sometimes referred to as "Condition N") is the harder and stronger condition and is best used when forming is not needed. Normalizing relieves internal stress on steel and improves toughness in steels that may harden after the cold working process. The Annealed condition (sometimes referred to as "Condition A") is the softer and formable condition and is best used when forming is needed. Annealing relieves internal stresses, softens and makes the material more ductile.

4130 alloy steel (Chrome Moly) seamless round tubes are offered as part of our own branded (AVIATIONEU NEW ERA) product lines in Normalized (N )  or Annealed (A) conditions indicated by the letters "NRZ" and  "ANL" respectively in the product reference code (SKU). They have been for years the standard of the aircraft industry. These tubes offer good strength and weldability without compromising steel abrasion or impact resistance and can also be made even stronger through heat treatment. They are commonly used in in structural applications, gears, fasteners, and aircraft exteriors. Tensile Strength: 90,000 PSI. Available in a range of outer diameters, wall thicknesses and pre-cut lengths in inches or cut to order (CTO) lengths of 12 inches (1 foot)) or multiples. Apperating price of CTO tubes is per foot (12 inches). Depending on the supplier, they comply with different standards/specifications, such as MIL-T6736 standard or ASTM/A S1906 specifications. Unless otherwise mentioned, there is additional cost if manufacturing test reports are required. For additional information, please refer to the supplied documentation or contact us.

The AN832 series fittings are superseded by the respective fittings of  SAE International standard  SAE-AS5406 series.

Like their SAE-AS5174/MS24392/AN815 union flared tube counterparts, SAE-AS5406/AN832 series fittings are manufactured from Carbon Steel, Aluminum Alloy, Corrosion Resistant Steel (CRES), Titanium Alloy. The 2 digits after the series code indicate the tubing outer diameter (O.D.)  in inches. The following Material Code Letters in the part numbers indicate the composition of the fitting.

No code letter in part number for Carbon Steel

Code letter “D” for Aluminum Alloy (except 7075-T73)

Code letter “J” for CRES, type 304

Code letter “K” for CRES, type 316

Code letter “S” for CRES, type 347

Code letter “T” for Titanium Alloy 6AL-4V

Code letter “W” for Aluminum Alloy 7075-T73

For example, AS5406D06 union fitting is made from Aluminum Alloy with a tubing outer diameter (O.D.) 3/8". The corresponding union fitting in AN832 series would be AN832-6D.

Depending on their Part Number they are sold in pieces but also in packs a with specified number of fittings indicated after the letters "PK" in the product reference number (SKU).
