The CJ AVIATION Inc. is a manufacturer of  FAA-PMA approved fuel pumps for more than 20 years as direct replacements (*) for DUKES fuel pumps installed in Beechcraft, Cessna, Diamond, Maule, Mooney, Lake and Navion aircraft. They can be furnished as NEW or NEW EXCHANGE both priced the same except that for NEW pumps there is no core refund/credit. These pumps feature a rigid construction, tighter tolerance design, redesigned motor and longer seal life. They come with certification (FAA Form 8130-3 ) and a two-year warranty or 300 hours, whichever comes first.

In addition, OVERHAULED EXCHAGE (**) fuel pumps are also offered on respective OEM AIRBORNE, DUKES and WELDON models for use in general aviation and experimental aircraft. The overhauled pumps are serviced in accordance with FAA-approved process specification and certified. These pumps are listed under the respective OEM product presentations.

Hydraulic Systems

PTI® TECHNOLOGIES hydraulic filter elements are used in today’s commercial and military aircraft and ground support systems. Filter elements comprised of depth-type filtration media combine high efficiency particle removal while optimizing contamination capacity. Operating environments include pressures up to 5,000 psid and temperatures ranging from -65°F to 350°F. 

Engine Fuel, Lubrication and Pneumatic Systems

PTI® TECHNOLOGIES provides filtration solutions for engine applications ranging from the PT6 to the PW4000 series engines. Applications include fuel, lubrication and pneumatic systems. Filter elements of the constructed of depth-type filtration media or woven wire mesh are offered in both disposable and cleanable configurations.

Screens and Strainers

In addition to pleated filter elements, PTI® TECHNOLOGIES provides screen, strainer and metal edge type filter elements for use in last chance, fuel wash flow, scavenge lube oil and other systems requiring protection for downstream components.

PTI® TECHNOLOGIES filter elements come with Certificate of Conformance as standard. If additional certification (FAA Export Form 8130-3) is needed, an additional charge is applied.  If additional certification is needed, manufacturer's certification and a FAA Export 8130-3 form can be provided with any qualifying filter item at extral cost. An oil pressure sensor is a device used to measure the oil pressure on an engine. The term oil pressure sensor is often used to denote  at least two different and distinct types of sensor - an oil pressure switch and and oil pressure sender.

An oil pressure switch is an egine protection device. It is a mechanical device that has a switch inside. The oil pressure switch may be 1, 2, or 3 insulated terminals (pins). Traditionally most oil switches for protection close when they activate, to show low oil pressure. 

An oil pressure sender is a device that senses the oil pressure of an engine and transmits it to the engine or machine controller. It is used as a generator protection device, to display the oil pressure to a user or for logging and diagnostic purposes. Unlike an oil pressure switch, it can display a range of readings.

Oil pressure sensors are used aircrafts and offered either as parts from the respective OEMs or as replacement parts from third parties. They are alternatively termed as HOBBS switches.

FACET® and PUROLATOR® fuel pumps were manufactured and branded by MOTOR COMPONENTS, LLC. They were  compatible with gasoline, diesel, biodiesel, blended alcohol fuels and fuel additives and capable of operation with 12/24V electric systems according to the selected model. These pumps have been discontinued although there is still a limited stock availability from stocks in various suppliers. Contact us for prices and availability.

The FACET® GOLD-FLO Solid State fuel pumps were enhanced versions of respective Interrupter models featuring a solid state circuitry and ease of installation and service. When properly installed, they assured a constant, smooth, dependable supply of fuel under pressure  in the hottest weather or in high altitudes eliminating vapor lock. Key product features: State of the art and sealed electronics, self priming and regulating, corrosion resistant (over 100 hours of salt spray), built in anti-siphon valve (positive shut-off), replaceable 74 micron filter, built in magnet to collect metal particles for additional filtration, 12 - 24 inches dry lift, 20 - 45 GPH, 1 - 8 PSI, 1.6 amp average, transient protection (24 volt only), -40 to 180 deg. F operating temperature range, UL/VCA certification, compliance to Mil-std-461D

Although FACET® GOLD-FLO solid state fuel pumps were certified and often used on UL and VCA aircraft, they were not FAA approved and as per their manufacturer statement, they were not designed, tested or manufactured for aircraft applications. Tempest FAA-PMA approved Platinum Electronic Fluid Pumps (separately listed) can be used as Facet Gold-Flo fluid pump replacements in this case. LENZ externally-mounted tank hydraulic suction line strainers are offered in different NPT and SAE series below to cover the needs of a range of applications.They do not require access to the tank interior for ease of servicing and feature perforated steel support tubes, cast iron bushings and 100 mesh stainless steel pleated screens as standard.

Part Numbers include subsections for the Series, the Size, the By-pass Option and the Mesh Oprion of the strainer.

Versions with by-pass options are designated by "-R" and PSI number after the size number of the strainer (e.g. -R3 and -R5 for 3 or 5 PSI by-pass options respectively).

Versions with mesh options, other than 100 mesh stainless steel pleated screen, are indicated by "-" and the number of the mesh option (i.e. -30, -60, -200  for 30, 60 or 200 mesh respectively).

LTF series are male NPT (MNPT) tank strainers designed for flows up to 50 GPM (200 LPM), with 2" X 2" MNPT steel nut. Offered with No by-pass or 5 PSI by-pass and 30, 60 and 200 mesh  options.

LTM series are male NPT (MNPT) to female NPT (FNPT) tank strainers designed for flows up to 200 GPM (750 LPM) with cast iron nut (stainless nut as option). Offered with No by-pass, 3 or 5 PSI by-pass and custom mesh  options.

LTMA series are male SAE (MSAE) to female SAE (FSAE) tank strainers designed for flows up to  40 GPM (160 LPM). They come with Buna o-rings and steel zinc plated bushings. Offered with No by-pass , 3 or 5 PSI by-pass and 30, 60 and 200 mesh  options.

LTMAB series are male SAE (MSAE) to hose barbed tube externally-mounted tank strainers designed for flows up to 40 GPM (160 LPM). They come with 1" to 2" hose beads, Buna o-rings and forged Zinc plated fittings.  Offered with No by-pass, 3 or 5 PSI by-pass and 30, 60 and 200 mesh  options.

Filler opening caps are parts basically circular in shape, designed to cover or seal the filler-neck or inlet opening of a fuel tank, radiator, oil reservoir, liquid storage tank or the like. They are either permanently attached or provided with a means of removal and replacement. 

Pressure refuel caps are used to lock, seal, and vent the pressure refuel port for an aircraft fuel tank. Pressure refueling allows for single point refueling on larger aircraft and can be used with all aircraft fuels. To fuel the aircraft, the caps are manually actuated by pressing down on the handle, which will vent and unlock the cap for removal by twisting. The cap remains attached to the aircraft by a lanyard. Once refueling is complete, the cap is inserted back onto the adapter and twisted until locked into place, which effectively reseals the pressure refuel port.

Pressure refuel caps are offered by different manufacturers such as Parker Aerospace, Eaton Coporation and others. They are designed in accordance with military specification MIL-C-8605B (for technical requirements) and MS29526-2(for envelope requirements).

Those from Parker Aerospace are 4.5 inches diameter, with an indexing feature and they fit into a 2.5-inch pressure refuel adapter per military specification MS24484. Their main features include an aluminum base and handle, a fluorosilicone O-ring seal, and antisparking brass chain lanyard (per industry standard RR-C-271) with a plastic tubing cover and corrosion resistant steel hooks.  Lanyards can also be fabricated with corrosion-resistant steel or flexible plastic and fuel resistant tubing. Optional features are also available such as key lock, ventilation, hinge, visual fluid level indicator, dust cover easy-lift handle and contoured adapter.
