OROLIA KANNAD 406 AF...
The KANNAD 406 AF automatic fixed Emergency Locator Transmitter (ELT) is designed to be installed near the tail of the aircraft and to be connected to an outside antenna (sold separately). A sophisticated “shock sensor” will activate the ELT automatically in the event of a crash. Its small size and light weight make it ideal for general aviation aircraft. The Mounting Bracket (Strap) is not included.
A separate version (406 AF-H) has been specifically developed for installation on board a helicopter in flat position (to gain space compared with usual installations at 45° downwards).
Product Features:
Optional Navigation Interface transmits GPS coordinates significantly shortening Search and Rescue response time.
Operates without aircraft power and incorporates an internal alarm/buzzer avoiding costly installation procedures.
Six year lithium manganese battery.
Three frequency transmitter (121.5 / 243 / 406 MHz)
Weight: (Including batteries) 2.44 lbs (1110 g) / max 2.60 lbs (1180g)
Please refer to the supplied documentation for additional information.
Note: The Kannad 406 AF-COMPACT version, designed for private pilots and light aircraft (usually supplied as kit with rod or whip antennas), has been discontinued and is no longer available.
