Hydraulic & pneumatic fittings (also called compressed air connectors) are used today in a wide range of applications as a connection for conductors such as hoses, tubes, pipes and machinery carrying fluids or gas and compressed air respectively to maintain their pressure without leakage. Whether their intended use is for fluids (hydraulic) or gas/compressed air (pneumatic) they are manufactured in a range of materials from plastic and aluminum to steel and stainless steel for maximum corrosion and chemical resistance. They come in different specifications (for military, aerospace or industrial uses), different thread types, such as British Standard Pipe (BSP) or U.S. National Pipe Thread (NPT/PTF) and sizes in inch or metric systems. Depending on the specific conductor/fitting application requirement different fittings are selected. Push-in fittings are quick and easy to install, connect and disconnect, even multiple times. Compressed air couplings, consisting of a socket and plug combination are self-sealing connecting components traditionally used for pneumatic tools, hall installations and laboratory equipment. Compressed air distributors are the ideal choice whenever distribution of compressed air to different systems is required. Different types can be used to direct the compressed air from one access point to several outputs at the required location.
Hydraulic & pneumatic fittings are offered as OEM parts from well known manufacturers or as part of our own labelled (AVIATIONEU NEW ERA) product lines. They are included in different product presentations throughout our Web Platform. In addition, a comprehensive range of tools and accessories (separately presented) are also offered ranging from connecting and disconnecting pliers, tubing and pipe cutters to union nuts, sealing caps, hollow bolts, hose clips, tubing straps and others.
Extending our range of offered fittings for hydraulic systems and fluid power applications, JIC (Joint Industry Council) 37° flare fittings can be supplied as part of AVIATIONEU NEW ERA product porffolio. JIC fittings share the same 37° flare angle as AN (Army-Navy) fittings, listed separately but they exhibit significant differences in materials, design tolerances, and intended applications. Typically made from carbon steel, stainless steel, or brass, JIC 37° flare fittings are commonly used in agricultural equipment, construction, and general hydraulic industrial applications unlike AN fittings which were originally designed, developed and still widely used for military and aerospace applications meeting their strict performance requirements. Although JIC fittings are often interchangeable with AN fittings and also a cost-effective alternative for less demanding applications, AN fittings should be a prefered choice for aerospace, military or critical applications in high-pressure or high-precision environments.

AN821 and MS24401 series elbow fittings are superseded by the respective elbows of SAE International, standard AS1034 series. These fittings are made from different materials including Carbon Steel, Aluminum Alloy, Corrosion Resistant Steel (CRES), and Titanium Alloy. The 2 digits after the series code indicate the tubing outer diameter (O.D.) in inches. The following Material Code Letters in the part numbers indicate the composition of the fitting. Finish code “V” in the PN indicates high purity Aluminum coating for “W” or “D” fittings.
No code letter in part number for Carbon Steel
“D” for Aluminum Alloy (except 7075-T73)
“J” for CRES, type 304
“K” for CRES, type 316
“R” for CRES, type 321
“S” for CRES, type 347
“T” for Titanium Alloy 6AL-4V
“W” for Aluminum Alloy 7075-T73
For example, a 90° elbow fitting with a flared tube 3/8 in. size connection corresponds to PN AS1034D0606 when made from Aluminum Alloy or AS1034W0606 when made from 7075-T73 Aluminum Alloy replacing respective AN821-6D 90° elbow fitting from Anodized Aluminum Alloy with a 37 deg flared tube 3/8 in. connection, and a UNJF / Class 3A thread of 9/16-18 in. size. AN821 fittings of tube outer diameters 3/4 in. (size 12) and above come with UNJ / Class 3A threads.
Depending on their Part Number they are sold in pieces but also in packs a with specified number of fittings indicated after the letters "PK" in the product reference number (SKU).
Note: In SAE AS standards for new designs, aluminum fittings with material code letter D in their Part or Identifying Number (PIN) are replaced by those with material code letter W for Aluminum Alloy 7075-T73 providing a higher tensile strength. In addition CRES fittings with material code letter S can be used for replacement parts. For new designs use of CRES fittings with material code letter R is recommended for applications requiring higher temperature.
SAE-AS5406/AN832 series union tube hydraulic fittings are available as part of our own labelled (AVIATIONEU NEW ERA) product lines in different materials, tube outer diameters and thread sizes in inches. The AN832 series fittings are superseded by the respective fittings of SAE International standard SAE-AS5406 series.
Like their SAE-AS5174/MS24392/AN815 union flared tube counterparts, SAE-AS5406/AN832 series fittings are manufactured from Carbon Steel, Aluminum Alloy, Corrosion Resistant Steel (CRES), Titanium Alloy. Nylaflow®, Nylon Tubing is a high-quality pressure tubing, available in several types. Nylaflow® tubes are tough and durable, offering low friction and high flexibility. Offered by different producers, Nylaflow® tubing is suitable for applications that require toughness, resilience, a small bend radius and high burst strength. Nylaflow® tubing offers superior burst strength compared to vinyl, ethylene, and urethane tubing and it is a high performance, long-lasting alternative to copper, rubber, aluminum and other types of plastic tubing. Its high burst rating makes it a common solution pneumatic and hydraulic lines. Nylon has excellent chemical resistance and can withstand exposure to relatively high concentrations of harsh chemicals at elevated temperatures. Its extremely smooth inner surface resists abrasion and wear and makes for a low coefficient of friction. It is often used in corrosive environments because of its excellent resistance to harsh chemicals.
Nylaflow® tubing comes in different types.
Types T (Thin Wall) and H (Heavy Wall) are the most common Nylaflow general purpose tubing made from type 6/6 nylon. FDA compliant for use in food or beverage handling applications also meeting 3A sanitary standards. The High performance of this Nylon tubing makes it perfect for applications that require durability, resilience, a small bend radius, and high burst strength.
Type LM tubing is a premium high flex tubing available in two types: natural or black, which exhibits improved light stability. Type LM offers excellent chemical resistance and low moisture absorption. Often used in automotive fuel lines, lubrication lines, air lines, and vacuum environments.
Type LP tubing is a low pressure, general purpose type 6 nylon tubing with carbon added for UV stability.
Nylaflow® nylon tubing is available with custom markings, cut to length and custom packaging. It can be cut with a sharp knife and flared hot or cold. They are odorless, tasteless and noncorrosive.
Typical applications of Nylaflow® tubing include airlines, grease lines, vacuum lines, and hydraulic lines.
