It featured 8 sensor input ports, variably occupied according to engine type. In addition, all the input ports were equipped with an alarm, responding when the signalled engine operating value was equal or above the respective stored operating limit. The FLYdat could be used with BRP-ROTAX® 447 UL SCDI, 503 UL DCDI, 582 UL DCDI, 618 UL DCDI, 912/914 DCDI series engines. The engine type, engine number, hour of operation, temperature unit and the respective engine limits could be programmed.
The FLYdat is no longer a listed TL ELEKTRONIC product. It can be replaced by its direct successor, TL ELEKTRONIC Integra TL-6724 Digital EMS, developed in cooperation with BRP-ROTAX®, which forms part of Integra family of Multifunctional Flight Instrument (EFIS) & Engine Monitoring Systems (EMS) for Light Aircraft. FLYdat units in NEW SURPLUS & USED Conditions, and related parts, may still be supplied depending on existing inventories. Other Aircraft Engine Monitoring Systems (EMS) from different manufacturers (listed separately) are also offered and they could also be considered as alternatives.
