Thermal fluids (aka thermal oils, thermic fluids, thermo fluids, heat transfer fluids, heat transfer oils, hot oils, thermic oils or thermo oils.) are specialized liquids used to transfer heat from one point to another in various industrial processes, including chemical processing, oil and gas refining, and power generation. Designed to operate at high temperatures they can provide efficient and reliable heat transfer, even under extreme conditions. Selecting the right transfer fluid depends on its thermal properties, which include its viscosity, heat capacity, the heating system it’s used in, and the application itself.  When dealing with complex applications that may have multiple heat transfer options and therefore specific calculations may be required. ZOK are powerful water-based gas turbine compressor cleaners and corrosion inhibitors produced by SOLIDUS INDUSTRIES. ZOK products are also offered with pH neutral and an effective corrosion inhibitor (ZOK 27) and with a higher pH without the added corrosion inhibitor (ZOK MX) for more challenging cleaning requirements. Originally developed for the UK Ministry of Defence over 40 years ago, ZOK 27 is used all over the world today within the Aviation, Marine, Power Generation, Oil and Gas and Industrial sectors. EXXONMOBIL® MOBIL™ AERO Series Aviation Hydraulic Fluids includes AERO HFA, HF, and HFS hydraulic fluids offered for aircraft systems where use of hydrocarbon hydraulic fluids is required. 

They are low viscosity, high VI (viscosity index) fluids with excellent low temperature properties, good anti-wear performance, and good chemical stability.

MOBIL™ AERO  HFA is a premium quality fluid that meets the requirements of the U.S. Military specification MIL-H-5606A (obsolete). It has a very high VI and is suitable for use at temperatures down to -54 ˚C (-65 ˚F). While this quality fluid is no longer used by the US Military, it is still used in some older, small private, and small commercial aircraft. It is also used in industrial and commercial equipment requiring good fluidity at very low temperatures, where MOBIL™ AERO  HFA provides long, trouble-free service over a wide range of

operating conditions.

MOBIL™ AERO HF is a premium quality fluid that is approved against the most current version of U.S. Military specification MIL-PRF-5606. It has physical properties very similar to MOBIL™ AERO HFA, and also meets “super-clean” requirements required by modern aircraft hydraulic systems. It is intended primarily for military aircraft. It is also used as a hydraulic fluid for small private and small commercial aircraft, and as a strut fluid in landing gear of large commercial aircraft. It is approved as a NATO Code Number H-515 fluid.

MOBIL™ AERO HFA and HF are composed of mineral oil base stocks and contain shear-stable VI improvers.

MOBIL™ AERO HFS is a synthetic polyalphaolefin lubricant that is approved against the most current version of U.S. Military specification MIL-PRF-83282. It does not contain a VI improver. It is designed for use at temperatures down to -40˚C (-40˚F). It provides better flammability and volatility, improved stability, but has a higher viscosity at low temperature than MOBIL™ AERO HF. It meets the “super-clean” requirements. It is intended primarily for US Military aircraft. It is approved as a NATO Code Number H-537 fluid.

CONNTECT® produces and supplies combustion turbine fuel additives, compressor cleaners & wash systems and related products. CONNTECT® gas turbine compressor cleaners include CONNTECT® 5000, 6000, 7000 and CONNTECT® AF-100 anti-icing fluid for use with all CONNTECT® compressor cleaners. They are suitable for both ON LINE and OFF LINE use while ceaners can be injected directly into the compressor while the turbine is operating ON LINE extending periodic OFF LINE cleaning intervals and reducing average power loss. Available in 5-gallon pails, 55-gallon (208-liter) drums and 330-gallon re-usable and disposable bulk containers (totes).

CONNTECT® 5000 - concentrated water based gas turbine compressor cleaner specifically designed to remove deposits commonly found on gas turbine compressor blades.

CONNTECT® 6000 - concentrated non-toxic high performance low foam water based gas turbine compressor cleaner with cleaning efficiency similar to solvent-based cleaners.

CONNTECT® 7000 - concentrated solvent-based gas turbine compressor cleaner. The combination of non-ionic surfactants, emulsifiers and organic solvents is specifically designed to remove deposits commonly found on gas turbine compressor blades including carbonaceous deposits, oil, grease and soot. It should not be used undiluted.

The ash free ingredients in CONNTECT® cleaners have been carefully selected to ensure that no incremental trace elements can contribute to corrosion of the hot section of the gas turbine, while they contain special inhibitors to ensure compatibility with aluminum, nickel, nickel-cadmium, stainless steel, titanium and common coatings including painted surfaces and elastomers. They can be generally mixed at 1 part cleaner to 4 parts water but the method of injection and total amount of cleaning solution required differs for ON LINE and OFF LINE cleaning.

CONNTECT® AF-100 is a superior quality, specially designed propylene glycol based gas turbine anti-icing fluid for use with all CONNTECT® compressor cleaners. It is non-hazardous, non-toxic and biodegradable. High purity, ash free product insuring no incremental contamination of the hot section of the turbine.  Depending upon the percentage of AF-100 used, the freezing temperature of the cleaning or rinsing solution can be reduced down to -22 deg. F (-30 deg. C). However, its viscosity increases significantly at cold temperatures should not be mixed with cleaner or water when the  product is very cold.

BURNDY® PENETROX™ is a family of oxide-preventing compounds (complexes) used for inhibiting oxidation or corrosion, producing poor initial contact resistance and for correcting electrical junction between metal parts such as conductors. All BURNDY® PENETROX™ complexes consist of homogeneously suspended metal particles that improve electrical conductivity and increase the integrity of the contact providing improved connections whether for copper or aluminum compression and bolted connectors. BURNDY® PENETROX™ product range includes:

PENETROX™ A, petroleum-based complex with equally suspended zinc particles. UL Listed to 600 volts and used for contacts such as aluminum to aluminum, aluminum to copper and aluminum conduit threads. It is not advised to use with rubber or thermoplastic insulated conductors.

PENETROX™ A-13, synthetic-based complexes with suspended zinc particles. Suitable for aluminum to aluminum, aluminum to copper contacts and aluminum conduit threads. It can be used with rubber or thermoplastic. Penetrox A-13 is UL Listed for all voltages.

PENETROX™ E, synthetic-based complex consisting of equally suspended copper particles. Used for copper to copper contacts, copper threads and all grounding applications. UL Listed. 

PENETROX™ HT, synthetic silicone based complexes with equally suspended zinc and nickel-aluminum combination particles. Used for aluminum to aluminum contacts. Penetrox HT is advised for use with high temperature ACSS and ACCC connectors. They are not UL Listed.

Petroleum distillates include a range of products such as mineral oils, naphtha solvents, heavy fuel oils, waxes, benzenes and others used in many industrial and other applications. They are offered as part of our own labelled (AVIATIONEU NEW ERA) product portfolio or as OEM products (separately listed).

Naphtha Solvents are chemical product comprised of volatile and extremely flammable liquid hydrocarbons  derived from the refining of crude oil but can also be produced from natural gas condensates or petroleum distillates. Naphtha solvents are very strong and versatile, often used in hydrocarbon cracking, laundry soaps, and cleaning fluids among other applications. Those conforming to Mil-Spec TT-N-95 or its latest Rev. B (TT-N-95B) are aliphatic naphtha acrylic cleaning solvents available in Type I or Type II for use in organic coatings and as a cleaner for acrylic plastics. Usual packings include 1 USG cans, 5 USG pails or 55 USG drums.

Corrosion Inhibitor additives form part of INNOSPEC FUEL SPECIALTIES product lines. INNOSPEC's STADIS® aviation fuel Static Dissipators  aim to enhance safety by preventing static charge build up when refining or handling fuels. STADIS® 450 is a non-metallic distillate fuel additive that increases the electrical conductivity of distillate fuels and helps reduce hazards associated with mixing, transfer, and shipment of distillate fuels. It is is the premium static dissipator additive (SDA) in use today and  the only SDA approved worldwide for use in civilian and military aviation turbine jet fuels. STADIS® 425 is ntended for use in  ground fuel applications and specifically designed for use in applications such as diesel fuels and gas oil.

EXXONMOBIL® MOBIL™ SHC™ 500 Series oils include Mobil SHC™ 524, 525, 526 and 527 very high performance hydraulic oils formulated from synthesised, wax-free hydrocarbon base fluids combined with a carefully engineered super-stabilised additive system. 

They feature exceptionally high quality, wide-temperature, shear-stable hydraulic oils with controlled low-temperature pumpability properties and maximised anti-wear protection for high-pressure vane, piston and gear pumps. Their very high viscosity indexes contribute to their excellent low and high temperature performance making them an excellent choice for equipment subjected to a wide range of start-up and operating temperatures. They exhibit outstanding shear stability allowing their use in high-pressure, high-temperature operating environments for extended periods of time without the loss of critical lubrication characteristics.
