TKM AVIONICS offers different NAV/COMM radios as slide-in replacements of legacy products from BENDIX KING and other manufacturers. The Michel MX-170 by TKM was introduced in early 1984 aiming to replace legacy BK radios such as KX-170A, KX-170B, KX-175, KX-175B type transceivers. The latest TSO'd MX170C with 760 VHF COMM channels and 200 NAV channels is designed to be electrically and mechanically interchangeable (slide in replacement) with the Bendix King KX170 and the Bendix King KX175 series of NAV/COMM radios. Like other TKM radios,the MX170C NAV/COMM has nice features and excellent performance. The dual color LED frequency displays are self-dimming, showing standby frequencies with red and active frequencies with yellow color. The channeling outputs are for 40-channel glide slope (King Glide Slope) and 200 channels (King Slip Code). The MX 170C operates on 13.75 Adc maximum current in transmit. The new OROLIA-KANNAD INTEGRA 406 GPS ELT is a major step forward in the development of ELT technology and aircraft safety. Major benefits over standard ELTs include  a fail-safe automatically activated system for transmission of both the unique identification and GPS position in case of ditching of the aircraft or a crash landing as well as the ability for the pilot/ crew to remove the ELT from a downed aircraft. In addition,it features internal 406MHz and GPS antennas saving significant cost on aircraft  installation without the need for an  external antenna (national authorities’ rules and regulations permitting) and additional external GPS interface.

The KANNAD 406 AF automatic fixed Emergency Locator Transmitter (ELT)  is designed to be installed near the tail of the aircraft and to be connected to an outside antenna (sold separately). A sophisticated “shock sensor” will activate the ELT automatically in the event of a crash. Its small size and light weight make it ideal for general aviation aircraft.  The Mounting Bracket (Strap) is not included. 

A separate version (406 AF-H) has been specifically developed for installation on board a helicopter in flat position (to gain space compared with usual installations at 45° downwards).

The N16 split design remote-mount VHF Navigation Receiver by MGL AVIONICS belongs to a new generation of navigation receivers based on RF direct conversion technology. The N16 is identical in size to the V16 COMM radio and can be used in a simple configuration as combined NAV/COMM solution for both MGL EFIS systems using the MGL protocols or, if at least one MGL VEGA or RAZOR control head is used these heads can provide NAV/COMM data output on RS-232 that is compatible with most EFIS systems on the market. Like V16 COMM, it is a Non-TSO'd NAV receiver for use in experimental and light-sport aircraft. For stand-alone operation, at least one MGL RAZOR control head or two MGL VEGA heads are required. Highly reliable and field-proven, the ADF 3500 direction finding systems by BECKER AVIONICS are trusted by the most reputed aircraft manufacturers. Suited for rotary and fixed wing applications, the ADF 3500 can be operated either in a standalone fashion or within EFIS, FMS or integrated flight deck systems.

The ADF 3502-() Receiver is designed for professional applications in the frequency range 190.0 kHz to 1799.5 kHz. The system is ideally suited for installations where minimum space is available. The small, lightweight control unit CU 5502 fits into a standard 2 ¼” (57mm) round instrument cutout and is only 2 ½” deep. The ADF Receiver can be installed at any convenient place in the aircraft. The RS 422 interface between CU and Rx reduces inter-wiring. The control unit CU 5502 offers a clear, high contrast, double line display, which is readable under all lighting conditions, even in bright sunlight. The frequency can be selected in 0.5 kHz/1kHz, 10 kHz/100 kHz steps by using variable speed frequency control. The pre-selection in the channel memory of the preset display allows instant switchover by pushing a “Flip-Flop” key to a new NDB en-route for indication of the cross bearing for a position fix relatively to a second NDB.
