The STRATOMASTER VEGA range instruments/indicators from MGL AVIONICS includes different 2 1/4" (57mm) microprocessor based color display instruments operating over a wide supply voltage range of 8 to 30V DC with with built in reverse and over voltage protection. They are non certified and only suitable for installation in experimental and sport (LSA) aircraft. Using a high resolution color graphics display, these instruments/indicators provide excellent daylight readability with built in backlighting making them easy to read at night time. They include a rotary control plus 2 independent keys for easy menu navigation and to access specific instrument features. Sensors are also offered to enhance their functionality. The MGL AVIONICS STRATOMASTER VEGA Series instruments/Indicators include: Artificial Horizon & Magnetic Compass Display, Altimeter/VSI, ASI, ASI/VSI, Engine Monitoring System (EMS), Fuel Computer, Information Display, Manifold Pressure, Température, RPM, Hobbs, Universal Engine/Rotor RPM, Hobbs, 4-Channel Thermocouple (EGT/CHT), 4 Channel Universal Analog Input (Pressure/Temperature/Voltage/Current) and NAVCOM Control head for MGL N16 NAV/COMM or V16 COMM VHF.
The N16 split design remote-mount VHF Navigation Receiver by MGL AVIONICS belongs to a new generation of navigation receivers based on RF direct conversion technology. The N16 is identical in size to the V16 COMM radio and can be used in a simple configuration as combined NAV/COMM solution for both MGL EFIS systems using the MGL protocols or, if at least one MGL VEGA or RAZOR control head is used these heads can provide NAV/COMM data output on RS-232 that is compatible with most EFIS systems on the market. Like V16 COMM, it is a Non-TSO'd NAV receiver for use in experimental and light-sport aircraft. For stand-alone operation, at least one MGL RAZOR control head or two MGL VEGA heads are required. Using these heads a fully compliant solution is presented that provides both VOR CDI using a rotary control for OBS bearing entry as well as the familiar two bar ILS localizer and glideslope indication. The VOR provides a display for bearing to station and radial from station at the same time for up to two simultaneously-received VOR stations. SAFE FLIGHT (SF) is the world's leading manufacturer of aircraft lift instrumentation and control systems. SAFE FLIGHT FAA certified Lift Detectors & Angle of Attack (AoA) Sensors are installed on hundreds of aircraft worlwide.
SF’s Lift Detector is the foundation of SAFE FLIGHT’s Stall Warning systems. This was the first and still the industry standard for stall warning in light aircraft. It consists of a small tab or vane which senses the change of the stagnation point on the wing and an alerting device used for stall warning. The detector warns by light and horn of any danger of an approaching stall regardless of the flight maneuver. It comes in different variations complete with installation kit & instructions.
SF’s SCc Angle of Attack (AoA) system meets FAA requirements by providing both flashing red LEDs and an unmistakable audio output to alert the pilot of increasing AoA and an impending stall. It consists of two key components, the Lift Transducer and the the Indexer Computer. Available for retro-fit. Including the Lift Transducer, the Indexer Computer, and all necessary wiring, connectors and installation hardware.
