STRATOS 07 MAGNUM Whole...
MAGNUM aircraft rescue ballistic parachute systems (also known as Vertical Launch Systems, VLS) are manufactured by STRATOS 07 S.R.O with knowledge and long experience in the construction of system components including rocket motors. They include different series produced for many years (like 450, 450 Speed, 501, 601) & newer certificated rescue systems like Magnum 1201 & 1401 for heavier aircraft and higher deployment speeds. They are intended for use in hang-gliding, paragliding, powered hang-gliding, powered paragliding, unpowered and powered gliders, gyroplanes as well as a wide range of two- and multi-seat airplanes and helicopters, including Light Sport, Experimental and Ultralights with a maximum 3,960 pounds gross weight, and deployment speeds of up to 199 MPH. Magnum Ballistic Parachutes come in sofpacks or canisters. Rescue systems packed in the softpack are usually installed inside of the aircraft. Rescue systems packed in a duralminium container are installed mostly outside of the aircraft.
Please refer to tables of specifications and notes below for the selection of a right rescue system.
Notes:
The max take-off weight of the aircraft MUST NOT EXCEED the max allowable load of the rescue system.
If the aircraft Vne exceeds the max limiting speed for the rescue system deployment, mounting of the system should be done so that the pilot is informed of this speed.
MAGNUM ballistic parachute systems are packaged in two parcels (one containing the parachute and the second containing the rocket). Because of the rocket, Haz-Mat shipping is required.
Appearing prices of MAGNUM rescue systems DO NOT INCLUDE cords between parachute and fuselage which are SOLD SEPARATELY. During the order, the length of activating cord from parachute to fuselage must be indicated. Other parts and accessories are also available at additional cost.
LEONARDO HELICOPTERS Flight...
Automatic flight control systems (AFCS) are aircraft autopilot systems with many integrated features initially found only on high-performance aircraft but nowadays installed on modern aircraft of any size. Their capabilities vary from system to system with some AFCS offering advanced features beyond ordinary autopilot systems regarding programmability, the level of integration of navigational aids, the integration of flight director and autothrottle systems, and combining of the command elements of these various systems into a single integrated flight control human interface.
LEONARDO HELICOPTERS provides aircraft manufacturers with solutions ranging from single axis or secondary flight control computers and electronics to complete integration of flight control systems. The flight control system architecture spans from simplest architecture, lowest complexity up to full authority fly-bywire architecture, offering the following advantages:
• Compatibility with various actuation technologies (Hydraulics, Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical)
• Eased certification process (EASA Form 1 already achieved)
• Reduced integration cost and schedule risk (building blocks)
The Flight Control Systems (FCS), used to control the control surfaces of the aircraft, are based on:
• Flight Control Computer (FCC)
• APSW (Autopilot).
• Building blocks of dual, dual-duplex, triplex and quadruplex FCS architecture.
Apart from new, LEONARDO older FCS are also offered in NEW SURPLUS or USED conditions (Serviceable or Overhauled). For additional information please consult the supplied documentation or contact us.
Tanks, Adhesives & Sealants...
Integral fuel tanks in aircraft form part of their wing or fuselage structure and they are commonly met in high-performance aircraft as they are the lightest, with most space per unit of weight. Rigid removable aircraft fuel tanks are also used in some aircraft, typically made of stainless steel or aluminum alloy and riveted together. Flexible fuel tanks (aka fuel bladders) are fuel containers made of reinforced flexible materials. They share many characteristics with rigid tanks but they require a smaller opening in the aircraft to be installed. Also used in other sectors for rapid deployment of storage facilities or increase capacity of fuels (gasoline, diesel or jet fuel) but also for water, oils, or as emergency units. They are made of high-quality PVC, EVA, and TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) coated fabrics, are fully UV resistant, and can operate at temperatures from -50°C to +90°C, ensuring durability and reliability under the most demanding conditions. Made by different manufacturers, these tanks conform to commercial standards while some of them are ballistic-tolerant or engineered for mission-critical military or aerospace uses, meeting respective commercial (such as TSO-C80 and 14 CFR Part 29) as well as military specifications like MIL-DTL-6396, MIL-DTL-5578, and MIL-DTL-27422.
Related materials such as tank cleaners/degreasers, adhesives & sealants are also offered and included in this presentation.
Tank adhesives/sealants come in different compounds (chemical composition) and respective prices, and their selection heavily depends the material of the tank they shall be applied and the sealing content (water, oil, fuel, etc). The selection and use of any sealant during tank construction, maintenance or repair should always ensure sealant's compatibility with tank composition and chemical resistance to fuels or other fluids to be sealed. Commonly used sealants for tanks span from PVC, the more cost-effective but with low temperature resistance & toxic when burned, to more expensive but safer Silicone ones, with excellent flexibility, high and low-temperature resistance and biocompatibility, to Polyurethane sealants, durable but not so chemically resistant as Polysulfide, and Polysulfide rubber sealants, flexible, and extremely resistant to gasoline, ethanol and many other chemicals.
For aircraft integral fuel tanks and rigid removable fuel tanks made of metals, two-part Polysulfide sealants are often the preferred choice. For flexible Polyurethane/Thermoplastic Polyurethane (PU/TPU) fuel tanks (bladders) the bonding/sealing material itself is often a specialized PU/TPU formulation for enhanced flexibility and durability, chemical resistance to hydrocarbon fuels, solvents, and oils, impact resistance, and bonding strength compared to traditional formulations. Silicone sealants are also used depending on application requirements.
Supplied either as OEM parts or as parts of our own labelled (AVIATIONEU NEW ERA) product lines.
