GROVE Wheels and Brakes are precision engineered and manufactured to provide the highest quality and performance in the aircraft industry. GROVE wheels are manufactured in both aluminum and magnesium. Aluminum wheels are more corrosion resistant than magnesium, are less expensive, but weigh more. Both have the same strength and performance ratings. They are offered in sets (kits) in different sizes to comply with tire and axle sizes and static load ratings to match the static aircraft gross weight on each wheel. GROVE brakes are offered for different braking torques, a function of the hydraulic system pressure and total caliper piston area, and with different kinetic energy capabilities. Aircraft with oversized tires or with a larger than normal engine should consider brake calipers with more or larger pistons. Different brake discs offered absorb the heat energy developed during braking.
Please refer to the Product Description section and the supplied documentation for additional information.
Aircraft wheels and braking systems serve a vital function during takeoff, landing and taxiing. Along with landing gear, aircraft wheels and brakes are critical to ensure safe and reliable aircraft ground operations under extreme forces, stress, as well as wear and tear from general operation and the environment.
Aircraft brakes are arranged in multiple disk pairs, which are commonly referred to as brake Heat Sink. As aircraft brakes convert the kinetic energy of the moving airplane to heat energy, they are also referred to as Heat Packs made of steel or carbon fibres. Conventional metal (steel) brakes are gradually replaced by carbon brakes (particularly on larger, long-haul commercial airplanes) due to their higher efficiency in braking applications, lower weight and resulting less fuel consumption and lower CO2 emission by the engines.
Commercial aircraft wheels and braking systems are produced by by leading manufacturers such as Honeywell Aerospace, Collins Aerospace/Goodrich Wheels & Brakes, Parker Meggitt Aircraft Braking Systems and Safran Landing Systems (formerly Messier-Bugatti-Dowty) and offered as OEM products/parts for an extensive list of commercial aircraft platforms. For more information on different OEM products please refer to the Product Description section, the supplied documentation or contact us.
Carbon and steel heat packs are also offered as part of our own labelled (AVIATIONEU NEW ERA) product lines. They are PMA approved (*) parts by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) for use on an extensive list of Western and Eastern commercial (civil ) aircraft platforms including Boeing, Airbus, McDonnell Douglas, Ilyushin and others. Sourced from quality suppliers they are available in an extensive product range, consist cost effective alternatives equalling or exceeding standards of the respective OEM products and feature high quality, safety, improved design, significant cost savings and fast deliveries. For more information on AVIATIONEU NEW ERA PMA brake heat packs please consult our separate product presentation or contact us.
AIRFRAMES ALASKA designs and manufactures ALASKAN BUSHWHEEL (ABI) FAA/PMA approved wheels & brakes and tires (separately presented) made for flying and landing off-field in the most rugged backcountry conditions.
ABI FAA/PMA approved wheels and brakes include assembly kits as direct replacements for respective Cleveland wheel & brake assemblies, wheel assemblies, brake assemblies, brake calipers and other replacement parts.
For more information on ABI wheels and brakes please refer to the Product Description section and the supplied documentation.

MICHELIN® Aircraft Tyres is internationally recognized as the No.1 tire manufacturer in the world. The company provides bias tires, radial tires, and tubes for aviation customers around the world, in a range of applications including commercial and regional airlines, general aviation and military aviation.
MICHELIN® AIR® X® Aviation Radial Tires are currently mounted on a wide range of commercial, military and corporate aircraft. Given the numerous advantages they offer over conventional bias-ply tires, these tires have elevated the basic performance expectations for aircraft tires, the same way MICHELIN® radials raised the standards for automobile tires. Offered in NEW or USED (RETREAD) (*) Condition. Compared to bias tires, MICHELIN® AIR® X® radials offer:
Measurable Fuel Savings
More Landings Per Tread
Improved Cut Resistance
Key features of MICHELIN® AIR® X® radials include:
Light Weight Radial Design. They typically weigh 20–30% less than comparable bias tires, and they operate at cooler temperatures. This leads to measurable fuel savings, more landings per tread, longer wear characteristics and a more stable contact patch than bias tires, as well as shorter turnaround times and reduced carcass fatigue.
Extra Strong Carcass. Michelin’s carcass design helps restrict tire growth and the stretching of rubber resulting in better cut resistance than bias tires.
Optimized Tread. Durable cut-resistant tread includes deep skid depth and specially-designed circumferential grooves. This contributes to an extended tire life, less heat build up and lower maintenance costs due to fewer tire changes.
Customized Rubber Compounds. Sidewall is optimized for both ozone and ultraviolet light protection which helps reduce ozone cracking in key areas of the tire. Provides maximum amount of exterior wear and crack resistance for a long tire life.
Flexible Casing. The casings of MICHELIN® AIR® X® radials is more flexible than casings used in bias tires. This results in noticeably smooth operating characteristics during taxiing, landing and takeoffs.
Please refer to the supplied documentation and the Reference & Application Chart for additional information.
(*) Retread tires have undergone a remanufacturing process to replace the worn tread on used tires with new tread to help extend the life of the tire. The number of times the tread has been replaced in the tire casing is indicated by a number just after the letter "R" in the product reference number (SKU), namely R1, R2, R3 and so on.

AIRFRAMES ALASKA designs and manufactures ALASKAN BUSHWHEEL (ABI) wheels & brakes and tires made for flying and landing off-field in the most rugged backcountry conditions. ABI tires absorb the energy of rough landings, taking the brunt of the impact off the pilots, wheels, gear, and airframe. Unlike your standard aircraft tires, Bushwheels are tubeless. This distinctive design eliminates the problem of tire slippage and stem shearing and makes it possible to run these tires at very low PSI. Different models are offered to suit needs of aircraft operating conditions. ABI tires are FAA TSO C62d approved. Models are available in the following versions and fit standard 6" wheels unless otherwise mentioned:
Standard thread: 3/16"
Heavy thread: 1/4". Heavy tread 26" ABI tires are constructed with a thicker tread layer. Suitable for pilots operating their aircraft on pavement between backcountry flights.
The 26" ABI tires are designed and handcrafted for use on lighter aircraft such as Cessna 182 & Cessna 206. They're also the ideal "entry level" bush tires for pilots upgrading from standard tube type aviation tires for the first time.
A step up in terms of size, 29" ABI tires have a slighter profile and create less drag than larger Bushwheels. This places these bush tires in size/weight sweet spot for heavier aircraft like Cessna and Maule while still providing the footprint and energy absorption critical in bush landings.
The 31" ABI tires are handcrafted featuring an impressive ratio of weight to size. Their solid footprint makes these bush tires the de facto standard for bush pilots.
The 35" ABI tires are designed for the most rugged off-airport operations. They require ABI 10650 10" wheels.
The 35" Beaver ABI tires stand up to the heavier load of de Havilland Beaver and Pilatus aircraft with a gross weight up to 5600 lbs (2800 static load rating per tire).
MICHELIN® Aircraft Tyres is internationally recognized as the No.1 tire manufacturer in the world. The company provides bias tires, radial tires, and tubes for aviation customers around the world, in a range of applications including commercial and regional airlines, general aviation and military aviation.
