MS20604 and MS20605 Standard pull-thru rivets are unique blind rivets typically used in nut plate applications. Blind Rivets are multi-piece rivet assemblies, capable of being installed from one side of the workpiece.Traditionally, blind rivets were used on aircraft leading edges, trailing edges, and close out areas which are limited to access to one side of the structure.  Current blind rivet usage has expanded to many additional areas of the aircraft in an effort to decrease labor expense and to address the ergonomic issues of solid riveting.

The CherryLOCK® blind rivets by CHERRY® AEROSPACE come in below  mentioned types, and in different sizes, materials and strength levels. A complete range of recommended power tools, hand tools and pulling heads are also available.

CherryLOCK® ‘A’ Code “non-shift”, self-plugging blind rivets 

Single action, mechanically locked, wire-drawing fasteners providing excellent hole-fill and sheet take-up capability. They conform to the Procurement Specification NAS 1400 and Standards Pages NAS 1398 and NAS 1399.These rivets are offered in aluminum, monel and A-286 stainless steel materials in a wide variety of diameters and grip ranges. CherryLOCK® ‘A’ Code  "Wiredraw"  rivets are locked spindle flush fracturing structural rivets manufactured in 3/32", 1/8", 5/32", 3/16" and 1/4" diameters in 100° flush head and protruding head style configurations and offer grip ranges from .020 in the smaller diameters to 1.073 in the larger diameters. The 3/32" diameter rivet is available in A-286 only with grips ranging from .020 to .562. Rivets 1/8" diameter and larger have head markings to identify grip, material and manufacturer for ready inspection. The flush fracturing spindle eliminates the need for shaving and meets the flushness requirement of the NAS 1400 specification. These rivets are especially suited for sealing applications and joints requiring excellent sheet take-up and allow simple installation with a wide variety of Cherry® nonshifting and shifting tools. 

Both CherryLOCK® ‘A’ & Wiredraw Rivets rivets are designed to provide strong, reliable fastening solutions, but the choice between them may depend on specific application requirements, such as material compatibility, strength needs, and installation conditions. Bulbed CherryLOCK® locked spindle and flush fracturing structural rivets

They consist a complete shear fastening system.  Their features can be utilized for optimum strength and performance in both thick and thin sheets. They provide the highest possible design integrity, particularly in double dimple or thin backside sheet applications. CherryLOCK® hydroshift installation tool systems are required for installation. They conform to Procurement Specification NAS1740 and Standards Pages NAS1738 and NAS1739.

The MS21141 Series of blind fasteners are high srength pull type protruding head blind bolts (or otherwise termed as rivets) made of corrosion resisting steel (typically A286 stainless steel) with a 95 KSI shear strength. These fasteners are produced by different manufacturers and sold uder their respective brands and part numbers. Indicative examples include PCC CHERRY AEROSPACE CR7621 Series of Maxibolt® Blind Bolts or  HOWMET AEROSPACE Unimatic® UBP-EU Blind Bolt Fasteners. These blind bolts are offered in different nominal diameter sizes & corresponding grip ranges in inches, passivated or cadmium plated and with or without lubrication. They can be installed with the use of single action tools and they are supplied either as OEM part numbers of their respective manufacturer or MS21141 Standard part numbers under our own branded (AVIATIONEU NEW ERA) product lines. Rivet Pin Gauges from HI-SHEAR CORPORATION,  subsidiary of LISI AEROSPACE, can be used for inspection or measurement of correct grip length of HI-LITE™ / HI-LOK™ rivet pins. Different HI-SHEAR Pin Protrusion Gauges are offered for respective HI-LITE™ / HI-LOK™series pins. HI-SHEAR Grip Gauge Assemblies can be used to measure the “grip length” of HI-LOK™ and HI-LITE™ pins, shear lockbolts, structural screws and bolts. The HI-SHEAR 2-651 Grip Gauge Assembly includes one HI-SHEAR 2-612 Grip Gauge & one HI-SHEAR 2-615 Grip Gauge Slide. The 2-612 Grip Gauge measures in increments 1/16” to 3”(1 mm to 75 mm). POP® PRG510A/MCS510A series air rivet guns are strong, compact, and trouble-free pneumatic tools ideal for continuous high-production riveting. Αvailable with either a deflector (PRG) or with a Mandrel Collection System (MCS). The PRG-511 A offers an extended nose housing for improved access. Rivet cutters of different types are commonly used in Aerospace and many industrial applications. Solid shank rivets are relatively low-cost,  permanently installed fasteners used as structural parts in aircraft and other applications where reliability and safety consist a priority.  These rivets are produced in accordance with military and other international standards such as US Army-Navy (AN) standard and Mil-Spec (MS) that followed. AN426/MS20426 and AN470/MS20470 Series rivets are solid aluminum rivets with countersunk head or universal head respectively. Those designated by the letter "A" in their part numbers are "soft" rivets fabricated from 1100-grade aluminum with a tensile strength of 16,000 PSI while rivets designated by the letters "AD" are fabricated from 2117 aluminum and heat treated to the T4 condition. They have a shear strength of 26,000 PSI and a tensile strength of 38,000 PSI. Jo-Bolt is a trade name for an internally threaded three-piece rivet. A Jo-Bolt consists of three factory preassembled parts, a threaded steel alloy bolt, a threaded steel nut, and an expandable stainless steel sleeve. During installation the bolt is turned while the nut is held. This causes the sleeve to expand over the end of the nut, forming the blind head and clamping against the work. When driving is complete, a portion of the bolt breaks off. The high shear and tensile strength of the Jo-Bolt  fasteners makes them suitable for use in high-stress applications where some of the other blind fasteners would not be practical. Other advantages include their excellent resistance to vibration, weight saving, and fast installation by one person. Jo-Bolts are often encountered in the permanent structure of late model aircraft, in areas which are not often subjected to replacement or servicing. Manufactured to different aerospace standards such as NAS 1669, 1670, 1750, or 1751 they are offered as OEM parts of their respective producers or as respective Standard part numbers under our own labelled (AVIATIONEU NEW ERA) product lines.
