The CHERRY® Nut-Plate family of fasteners offers an extensive range of head styles in a low cost, pull through style rivet. Rivet heads include the CCR/CCMR274, “Universal”, CCR/CCMR264, 100° Flush, and the CCR/CCMR244, 100° Reduced Flush head (NAS 1097). Sleeve materials include C1018 steel or A-286 CRES stainless steel. Single action installation tools are all that is required to complete this low cost fastening system. Recommended installation tools include the G29 hand tool, which is sold complete with pulling head, or the G902/G902-15 lightweight power tool with pulling heads sold separately.

Countersinking is used to ensure that flat head screws or fasteners sit flush against the workpiece. Countersinks used in aerospace and industrial applications are made of durable materials such as High Speed Steel (HSS) known for its hardness, toughness, and ability to withstand high temperatures. High Speed Steel (HSS) countersinks are well suited for cutting aluminum sheet metals. When combined with Cobalt, an alloying agent in steels to improve the hardenability, strength, and wear resistance in machining applications but also due to its ability to resist wear at higher temperatures, the  respective countersinks are often used for cutting stainless steel and other aluminum alloys.

Because of the difference in composition between HSS and Cobalt, main strengths of HSS countersinks are their high hardness and wear resistance. Therefore, as a general rule, they consist a better choice when you want your countersinks to retain their strength even when exposed to extreme wear or abuse. For higher hardenability, strength, and wear resistance and in applications when when countersinks are to be exposed to extremely high temperatures, cobalt countersinks should best be used.

Rivet cutters of different types are commonly used in Aerospace and many industrial applications. These quality heavy duty tools are made by different manufacturers mostly in hand-held but also in bench mounted versions and can be used for cutting rivets of aluminum and other materials od different diameters and lengths. Some of them are briefly presented below.

ATI® TOOLS 501 series aerospace heavy duty rivet cutters are designed to quickly and easily shear aluminum rivets. They are adjustable for 1/4˝ to 3/4˝ long rivets in 1/16˝ increments. Available in two models with standard handle (ATI 501R) and long handle (ATI 501S).

The RC-1 heavy-duty rivet cutter manufactured by LANCASTER PUMP is designed to mount onto a workbench (or held in vice), and will cut five (5) different diameter rivets, wire, and screws to any of seven (7) different lengths. It is made of hardened steel and the cutting surfaces are ground to exacting tolerances for consistently clean, distortion-free cuts. Accepts diameters: 1/16", 3/32", 1/8", 5/32", and 3/16". Jo-Bolt is a trade name for an internally threaded three-piece rivet. A Jo-Bolt consists of three factory preassembled parts, a threaded steel alloy bolt, a threaded steel nut, and an expandable stainless steel sleeve. During installation the bolt is turned while the nut is held. This causes the sleeve to expand over the end of the nut, forming the blind head and clamping against the work. When driving is complete, a portion of the bolt breaks off. The high shear and tensile strength of the Jo-Bolt  fasteners makes them suitable for use in high-stress applications where some of the other blind fasteners would not be practical. Other advantages include their excellent resistance to vibration, weight saving, and fast installation by one person. Jo-Bolts are often encountered in the permanent structure of late model aircraft, in areas which are not often subjected to replacement or servicing. Manufactured to different aerospace standards such as NAS 1669, 1670, 1750, or 1751 they are offered as OEM parts of their respective producers or as respective Standard part numbers under our own labelled (AVIATIONEU NEW ERA) product lines.

Different pins, rivet pins & collars used on Textron Aviation Cessna, Beechcraft and Hawker aircraft. Also available are alternative respective parts from other manufacturers. HI-SHEAR HI-LOK™ pins and collars are catalogued as TEXTRON AVIATION part numbers but the alternative HI SHEAR part number is also included in the product reference number (SKU). POP® PRG510A/MCS510A series air rivet guns are strong, compact, and trouble-free pneumatic tools ideal for continuous high-production riveting. Αvailable with either a deflector (PRG) or with a Mandrel Collection System (MCS). The PRG-511 A offers an extended nose housing for improved access. Sets aluminum in sizes 3/32″ – 3/16″ in open-end and closed-end POP rivets.

Structural screws are made of alloy steel, are properly heat treated, and can be used as structural bolts. Those commonly used in aircraft applications are manufactured to aerospace/military standards/specifications. They are offered as part of our own branded (AVIATIONEU NEW ERA) product lines structured in different series based on the standard of their conformance. Some of the screws commonly used include NAS204 through NAS235 and AN509/AN525 series. 

MS24694 Series structural screws have a 100° countersunk Phillips head. They replace the respective AN509 series structural screws of materials and finishes. Minimum tensile strength for steel is 125,000 psi. They are fabricated from alloy steel and cadmium plated per specification QQ-P-416A, Type II, Class 3 or 300 Series Stainless Steel unplated designated by the letters "S" and "C" respectively in the product part number after MS24694 and before the size number.

ATI® TOOLS 100A series (straight drive) and 101A series (offset drive) AN470/MS20470 universal-head cup shaped  rivets are manufactured from S2 high-grade shock-resistant steel and machined in accordance with MIL-STD GGG-R-425. The MS21141 Series of blind fasteners are high srength pull type protruding head blind bolts (or otherwise termed as rivets) made of corrosion resisting steel (typically A286 stainless steel) with a 95 KSI shear strength. These fasteners are produced by different manufacturers and sold uder their respective brands and part numbers. Indicative examples include PCC CHERRY AEROSPACE CR7621 Series of Maxibolt® Blind Bolts or  HOWMET AEROSPACE Unimatic® UBP-EU Blind Bolt Fasteners. These blind bolts are offered in different nominal diameter sizes & corresponding grip ranges in inches, passivated or cadmium plated and with or without lubrication. They can be installed with the use of single action tools and they are supplied either as OEM part numbers of their respective manufacturer or MS21141 Standard part numbers under our own branded (AVIATIONEU NEW ERA) product lines.
