AVIATIONEU NEW ERA 6061...

Aluminum alloy 6061 is the most commonly used aluminum alloy in the world due to its positive characteristics. It has magnesium and silicon as its main composition elements and is a cold-treated aluminum forging product with the advantages of 4000 Series and 5000 Series. Aluminum 6061, T6 or T651 tempered sheets exhibit above average corrosion resistance, excellent processability with no deformations, high strength, light weight, good weldability, and the ability to be heat treated for even higher strength, all at an affordable price. The difference between T6 and T651 tempers of an 6061 aluminum sheet is that the internal stress of T6 is relatively large and the processing will be deformed under normal circumstances; the suitable state for processing should be T651, which is based on T6 to stretch and eliminate internal stress. Both are typically used in aerospace, automotive, cameras, couplings, marine hardware, electrical components, decorative hardware, structural applications, pins, brakes, pistons, valves, and bicycle frames. Aluminum alloy 6061-T6 sheets from AVIATIONEU NEW ERA product lines are offered in different pre cut thicknesses, widths and lengths and they are PVC covered one side. They meet AMS 4027/ASTM B209 specifications.

AVIATIONEU NEW ERA DIN 980...

Self-locking nuts (aka lock nuts) are widely used in applications in which motion or vibration can cause fasteners to become loose. Lock nuts conforming to DIN 980 stanard are all metal prevailing torque, hexagonal nuts and they  are available in two types, DIN 980 V-type (DIN980/V) with a distorted thread and DIN 980 M-type ((DIN980/M) with an embedded metal locking plate.

In DIN 980 V-type distorted thread nuts, certain teeth of the nut thread are deformed through die stamping resulting in the inner diameter of the nut thread being slightly smaller than the outer diameter of the bolt thread. Therefore, the friction force between the threads after the nut is tightened is far greater than that of the common thread, which can play an effective role in preventing loosing.

In DIN 980 M-type nuts, the nut is embedded with a metal locking plate after heat treatment. The inner diameter of the metal plate is slightly smaller than the outer diameter of the bolt thread. After the nut is tightened, the metal plate blocks the bolt thread, thus preventing loosening.

DIN 980 lock nuts must be tightened with tools (such as ratchet spanner) during installation. Although they can be can be used repeatedly, frequent disassemblies and installations are not recommended as the locking torque of the nut will decrease significantly.

Depending on the producer, DIN 980 lock nuts are manufactured in different metric thread sizes (M3 ~ M39) from carbon steel in various strength classes (such as  4, 6, 8, 10 and 12) or stainless steel in grades 70 and  80. They are offered in various finishes such as plain, black, zinc/yellow plated, H.D.G, and chrome plated.

Both DIN980/V and DIN980/M lock nuts are offered as part of our own (AVIATIONEU NEW ERA) product lines. Sourced from quality manufactuurers they are competitively priced and can be supplied in carbon steel or stainless steel, in different grades, metric thread sizes  and finishes .

For additional information please consult the supplied documentation.

Notes:

Different metric thread sizes are designated by the letter "M" indicating the nut's clearance diameter in mm.

Nut thread pitch indicates the distance between threads measured along the length of the nut expressed in mm.

In the case of stainless steel lock nuts, the stainless steel grades are denoted with codes such as A2 or A4 and dash numbers indicating the minimum tensile strength to be met by the material. For example, A2-70 relates to a lock nut made from 304 stainless steel with a minimum tensile strength of 700N/mm² (MPa).

AVIATIONEU NEW ERA AN Close...

Close tolerance bolts, designed with a greater emphasis on measurement accuracy than other types of bolts, are commonly used in the aerospace manufacturing industry. They are threaded fasteners with a shank and head and a tolerance of just +0.000, -0.0005 inch as an acceptable range of variance. The shank is threaded, thus allowing them to be driven into a threaded hole. They intend to eliminate problems appearing when using traditional bolts which have a greater acceptable range of variance. Close tolerance bolts have closer shank tolerances than that of traditional bolts and fit more securely in threaded holes. For some fastening applications, traditional bolts may suffice. For sensitive fastening applications in which precision is required, close tolerance bolts are typically used. When selecting close tolerance instead of traditional bolts the drive type should be considered. Most close tolerance bolts have a recess within their head that supports a specific bit, such as a Phillips head bit. Regarding their threading, all close tolerance bolts, as well as traditional bolts, have threading. But the way in which the threading is designed may vary. Some bolts have more threading on their shank than others, and some bolts have finer threading than others.

Close tolerance bolts are offered in different materials with high-carbon steel being a common material used in their construction.

Army & Navy (AN) close tolerance bolts are offered as part of our own labelled (AVIATIONEU NEW ERA) lines of fasteners. They are sourced from quality manufacturers and structured in different series (AN 173/174/175/176/178/180).

The following letters after the basic part numbers specify the material, finish and drilling condition of these bolts.

First Number after AN Basic designates the Diameter.

"-" for Steel, Cad II plated, no head hole

"C" in place of (-) for Corrosion Resistant Steel (CRES)

"H" in place of (-) or after (C) for bolts with a head hole

"A" In the end of the PN  for bolts with no shank hole

European Standard (EN)...

European Standards (EN) and other deliverables are developed in a large number of sectors by the CEN National Standardization Bodies and CENELEC's National Committees (NCs) of the EU and EFTA countries. Together with the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) they are the three European Standardisation Organisations operating under the Regulation (EU) No 1025/2012 to produce European harmonised standards in support of EU legislation and policies.

EN 6114 & EN 6115 Standards relate to short thread countersunk & protruding head bolts respectively for aerospace applications. EN6114 & EN 6115 Standard bolts are commonly used on Airbus commercial aircraft platforns such as A320, A330, A350 and A380. Airbus A320/ A330 aicraft commonly use the alloy steel versions of the EN6114 Standard bolts and those of the Titanium series indicated by the V and T surface coding. The Airbus A350 and A380 models incorporate those from INCONEL®  nickel-chromium-based superalloy. Several HLT, HST, NSA, and VL fasteners can be used as alternates to those of EN6114 Standard (see the supplied documentation).

They are sold in packs with the number of bolts included in each pack designated after the letters "PK" in the product reference number (SKU). For additional information please refer to our brochure in our Attachment section

AVIATIONEU NEW ERA Hole...

Hole saws are versatile cutting tools primarily used to create circular openings in various materials. They are often preferred over standard drill bits when there is a need to create larger diameter holes. Hole saws come in different materials and types.

Standard hole saws utilize a separate arbor (the part attaching to the drill) and a replaceable saw blade. Integral hole saws combine the arbor and saw blade into a single, non-detachable unit. They offer greater stability, resulting in more accurate and cleaner cuts, particularly in harder materials. Their integrated design also provides enhanced stability and reliability. Their major disadvantages are their lower versatility, as separate integral hole saws are required for each size and cost (more expensive than standard hole saws).

Integral hole saws are often preferred for applications requiring precise and clean holes, especially in harder materials, due to their enhanced

Diamond plated hole saws are designed for use on extremely hard or abrasive materials where cut finish is important. Typically used for creating holes on  stone, porcelain/ceramics, brick/masonry, cast iron, glass blocks, architectural stones, composites, and laminates.

Hole saws are are offered in different types, inch and metric sizes, cutting depths as OEM parts of their respective manufacturers (separately listed) or as parts of our own labelled (AVIATIONEU NEW ERA) product lines.

They are typicaly  used in automotive industry (vehicle body building), transport equipment, equipment components, frame building and general constructions, reinforcement and support of various surfaces (in the case of angles) and many others.

For further information please refer to the Product Description section and the respective documentation.

(*) Extrusion is a common forming process for producing a variety of metal parts and other materials. Extruded aluminium is made by heating the aluminium and pushing it through a die to form the finished product, and subsequently cooled, stretched, and hardened at room temperature or in heated spaces for rapid tempering. A common product example for this process is aluminium tubing. In cold drawing or cold rolling forming process (sometimes referred as cold finishing) the aluminum material is pulled into a draw die or rollers, shaping the metal at room temperature. In hot rolling, the material is heated before shaping. Cold drawing improves the metal’s mechanical properties and gives a captivating finish to the finished product.

In general, the extrusion process is considered of lower cost to cold processing which involves a greater set of instruments and materials to finish.
