Aluminum/Steel/Stainless Steel Non-Structural Blind Rivets SKU: RVT-BLD-N/STRL

Blind rivets (also commonly referred to as POP Rivets) are mainly used in applications where there is no access to the rear (blind side) of the joint. They are two-piece fasteners consisting of the rivet body (aka shell, or hat) and the stem or mandrel, pre-assembled and ready to use. They are not material specific and therefore they can be used to join two different material types together.

Rivets are installed by using a riveting tool to draw the mandrel which causes the body to deform and clamp down on the joint. Upon reaching the designed clamping force, the mandrel snaps and is discarded.

They come in different materials, sizes, military or industrial standards, and cover a wide range of structural and non structural applications.

Non structural blind rivets are those designed for applications where the connection doesn't need to withstand significant load-bearing forces. They are offered by different  manufacturers under their respective brands, such as STANLEY® Engineered Fastening AVDEL® & POP®, and others but also as part of our own labelled (AVIATIONEU NEW ERA) product lines, sourced by quality suppliers and intended as cost-effective alternatives to OEM parts. Depending on the rivet, they are made of different materials such as steel, stainless steel,  alluminum alloys, or combinations, and supplied in different head styles, in Inch or Metric (M) diameters, lengths and grip ranges.

Blind rivets conform to national and international military, aerospace and industrial standards such as MS, AIA/NAS, DIN, ISO and others.

Non structural blind rivets produced in accordance with the German DIN 7337 Standard or respective replacing ISO Standards (ISO 15983 for Protruding Head, and ISO 15977 for Flat/Countersunk Head blind rivets) are offered as part of AVIATIONEU NEW ERA product lines.

Sold in pieces but mostly in packs with the number of rivets per pack indicated in the product SKU after the letters "PK". Appearing sale prices are per unit of sale used each time. Depending on the selected rivet & prevailing stock conditions alternate part numbers of the same rivet may be supplied in lieu of the ordered, meeting or exceeding Standard specifications. For additional information on different products please refer to the Product Description section, the supplied documentation or contact us.

STANLEY® AVDEL® N Rivet® Series

STANLEY® AVDEL® N Rivet® Series of protruding head nail rivets are suitable for metal to metal applications.Their body/mandrel is made from different materials: Aluminum/Aluminum, Steel/Steel, Aluminum/Steel or Stainless Steel/Stainless Steel. Aluminum and  18-8 Stainless Steel rivets for high strength and corrosion resistance, are widely used for marine applications such  as non-critical equipment installations on masts, radar towers and other structures with limited or no access to secure washers and nuts. They are ideal for installing deck lights, bimini frame brackets and much more. Rivets are available in a range of diameters and gripping lengths to match the needs of a variety of projects. Installation requires special tool with appropriate die to match mandrel diameter. Contact of dissimilar metals, like for example use of stainless steel rivets to install hardware on to the aluminum spars of a sailboat, should be avoided to guard against galvanic corrosion occurence. If the superior strength of stainless steel rivets is not required, the use of aluminum blind rivets should be considered for non-critical installations. Aluminum rivets can also be used below the waterline together with marine epoxy or Gluvit sealant for waterproofness. AVDEL® N Rivet® rivets are sold in convenient packs. The number of pieces per pack is specified after the letters "PK" in the product reference number (SKU).

DIN 7337 Standard Non Structural Break Mandrel Blind Rivets

Non structural break mandrel blind rivets are offered as part of AVIATIONEU NEW ERA product lines. They are produced in accordance with the DIN 7337 Standard of the German Institute for Standardisation (Deutsches Institut für Normung, DIN) or respective replacing ISO Standards (ISO 15983 or ISO 15977 for protruding or flat/countersunk head rivets respectively). These standards specify the dimensions, materials, properties and requirements for the use of blind rivets and they are widely used many industries in Europe and worlwide, including automotive, construction and machine building industries.

AVIATIONEU NEW ERA DIN 7337 blind rivets are offered in metric (mm) sizes covering different diameters, lengths and grip ranges. Common diameters include:  2.4 mm, 3.2 mm (1/8″),  4.0 mm, 4.8 mm (3/16″), and 6.4 mm (1/4″).

Material options include steel, stainless steel and aluminum alloys and can be supplied with different finishes, galvanized or coated.

Sold in pieces but mostly in packs with the number of rivets per pack indicated in the product SKU after the letters "PK". Appearing sale prices are per unit of sale used each time.
