High-Speed Steel (HSS) is a metal alloy made up primarily of iron, tungsten, and carbon. It's known for its hardness, toughness, and ability to withstand high temperatures without losing its strength or shape. It also has excellent abrasion resistance properties, which make it useful for cutting tools. HSS drill bits are extremely hardwearing and particularly well designed for drilling into relatively hard metal surfaces and wood, as they are much more resistant to the heat generated from the fast speed operation. The front edges cut the material, whilst the spirals remove debris from the hole. Rivet cutters of different types are commonly used in Aerospace and many industrial applications. These quality heavy duty tools are made by different manufacturers mostly in hand-held but also in bench mounted versions and can be used for cutting rivets of aluminum and other materials od different diameters and lengths.
