Modern reciprocating-engine aircraft (especially large and high-performance ones) use electrically operated auxiliary fuel  boost and transfer pumps  to keep fuel moving toward the aircraft engine or move fuel between tanks to balance aircraft weight. Centrifugal boost pumps,  electric motor driven,  are the most common type and  are used to supply,back up the engine-driven fuel pump or transfer fuel between tanks if the aircraft is so designed. They are  most frequently  submerged in the fuel tank or located just outside of the bottom of the tank with the inlet of the pump extending into the tank. Cartridge/canister or in-tank mounted pumps supply fuel to the aircraft engine while reverse flow through the pump is prevented by check valves. The cartridge/canister design allows removal of the pump cartridge without draining the fuel tank. If the pump is mounted outside the tank, a pump removal valve is typically installed so the pump can be removed without draining the fuel tank.

The RAPCO FAA-PMA approved pumps are offered as direct replacements of the respective pumps by OEMs  such as PARKER AIRBORNE or DUKES (please refer to their separate product presentations). The letters " RA" in the beginning of the RAPCO part number are used to denote the correlation of RAPCO part number to the OEM part number. Automatic portable radio beacons (ELT(AP) АРМ-406П (ARM-406P), АРМ-406П1 (ARM-406P1) and АРМ-406АС1 (ARM-406AC1) are safety devices designed to transmit via satellite to the stations COSPAS-SARSAT distress radio signals with aircraft coordinates received from the onboard computer system.Such information facilitie identification of the aircraft and guidance of S&R facilities to the accident site. Located in the aircraft cabin these devices offer the possibility of quick use in an emergency.

The automatic portable radio beacon АРМ-406П1 (APM-406P1) includes:

- monoblock P, consisting of a double protective casing with shock absorbers installed in it, an overload sensor (DP) and an AC1A monoblock;

- remote control PDU-406 (ПДУ-406) installed in the cockpit;

- external antenna ANT-406VA (АНТ-406ВА), mounted on the aircraft body.

The АС1А monoblock is  a portable radio beacon, including a PM-AC1A (ПМ-АС1А) transmitting module, an АРМ-043-01 autonomous power supply unit and an ANT-APM-01 (АНТ-АРМ-01) antenna. The emergency mode of operation of the AC1A monoblock can be switched on both from the remote control and from the DP, as well as manually when removing it from the protective casing when leaving the emergency aircraft.

Autonomous power supply (APS) units are also offered for use with the radio beacons. Key features of MICHELIN® AIR® X® radials include:

Light Weight Radial Design. They typically weigh 20–30% less than comparable bias tires, and they operate at cooler temperatures. This leads to measurable fuel savings, more landings per tread, longer wear characteristics and a more stable contact patch than bias tires, as well as shorter turnaround times and reduced carcass fatigue.

Extra Strong Carcass. Michelin’s carcass design helps restrict tire growth and the stretching of rubber resulting in better cut resistance than bias tires.

Optimized Tread. Durable cut-resistant tread includes deep skid depth and specially-designed circumferential grooves. This contributes to an extended tire life, less heat build up and lower maintenance costs due to fewer tire changes.

Customized Rubber Compounds. Sidewall is optimized for both ozone and ultraviolet light protection which helps reduce ozone cracking in key areas of the tire. Provides maximum amount of exterior wear and crack resistance for a long tire life.

Flexible Casing. The casings of MICHELIN® AIR® X® radials is more flexible than casings used in bias tires. This results in noticeably smooth operating characteristics during taxiing, landing and takeoffs.

The number of times the  tread has been replaced in the tire casing is indicated by a number just after the letter "R" in the product reference number (SKU), namely R1, R2, R3 and so on.
