DUNLOP does not mandate a maximum shelf life for its tires, so long as the storage conditions are met. The company recommends that tires be kept in a store for no more than 12 years from their date of manufacture, if they are to stay serviceable.

DUNLOP aircraft tires have a warranty of 12 months from the date of their delivery. The company undertakes at its option to repair or replace them or refund the customer for any of the tires which are defective by reason of defective material, design or workmanship.

DUNLOP AIRCRAFT TYRES also produces aircraft inner tubes manufactured to rigorous standards which meet or exceed all commercial and military performance requirements, including MIL-I-5014 military specification (except for packaging).

They are made from natural rubber which ensures maximum life and meets cold temperature performance requirements.

DUNLOP inner tubes are factory balanced. The heavy spot is marked in red. If there is no red mark, the valve is considered the heavy spot. The valve stem, core and cap are manufactured for aircraft use and designed for high and low pressure requirements.

Fine quality switch from ACS used in many aircraft. The switch housing is machined from billet aluminum which makes this switch 25% lighter. It provides “ON” and “OFF” electrical control of both magnetos on a single engine aircraft. The key-operated switch mounts from the rear of the panel in a 7/8” dia hole. RBC NICE 5000 Series bearings are similar in construction to those of 400 Series except that they have a flange on the outer ring to locate the bearing when pressed into a tube or housing, thus eliminating the need for an external mounting device. Designed for moderate loads and speeds (not exceeding 1200 rpm) where running accuracy and noise level requirements do not warrant the more expensive precision ground bearings. They feature a full ball complement without a retainer. The rings are case hardened and the soft steel band on the outer ring of the unitized assembly allows the bearing to be pressed into a housing without the necessity of close housing tolerances. The bearings are supplied pre-greased as a standard.

Metal cables are are stranded wires used in a wide variety of applications in aviation and many other industries. The term "wire rope" is also used when the cable diameter is larger than 3/8" (9.52 mm), with smaller gauges designated as cables or cords. They are specified in terms of their construction by the number of strands times the number of wires in each strand. For example, “7x19” means the cable with seven (7) strands, and 19 wires in each strand. 7x19 is the most flexible cable, approximately twice as flexible as its 7x7 counterpart.

Aircraft cables are encountered on or around the aircraft including flight control surfaces and tie-downs or other uses. Manufactured to the highest standards, the Andair standard fuel selector range incorporates 1/4"(FS16), 3/8"(FS20) and the 1/2"(FS25) valves. These valves allow for multiple tank switching of one fuel line. Duplex fuel selectors are also offered  (see separate product presentations). FS16, FS20 and FS25 series of fuel selectors are designed for safety, provide a precise and smooth feel in operation  and come in different types, ranging from Type 1 ON/OFF shut off valves to valves with multiple positions. To prevent the pilot switching the wrong tank or turning the fuel off they feature  a large red lever with 'Fuel' engraved on it and a clearly labelled fascia plate to indicate which tank has been selected. It allows for a good solid detent at each tank position and also the button on top of the lever must be raised to switch the fuel off.

FS20 series 3/8" fuel selectors provide a choice of lower and side fittings, and all units can be operated with an extension and universal joints. They come in the following types:

Type 1 (FS20-1): simple 3/8” ON/OFF shut off valve with 90 degrees action between the two positions. There are two ports and either port can be used as the inlet or outlet.

Type 2 (FS20-2): Three way 3/8” fuel selector with positions LEFT-RIGHT-OFF and a 90 degree action between each tank selection. No lower fitting for use where there is little space behind the valve. 

Type 3 (FS20-3): three way selector with the positions LEFT - RIGHT - OFF. Generally used in low wing aircraft with a tank in each wing.

Type 4 (FS20-4): Designed for high wing aircraft, it has four lever positions OFF - LEFT - BOTH – RIGHT with a 90 degree action between each position.There are 3 ports. The lower port is the outlet to the engine and can be Male AN-6, Female 1/4NPT or a  360 degree Banjo adjustable fitting with a male AN-6 end.

Type 5 (FS20-5): 4 way Fuel Selector ( 3 tanks and OFF ) with positions LEFT - MAIN - RIGHT - OFF, each at 90 degree intervals.

Type 7 (FS20-7): Newest in the range 3 way fuel selector with positions LEFT - RIGHT - OFF. The inlets are at the 45 degree positions, to the LEFT and RIGHT, and the outlet is at the base of the valve. FS20-7 has been designed for centre consol mounting.

Type 8 (FS20-8): 5 way Fuel Selector ( 4 tanks and OFF ) with positions LEFT TIP - LEFT - RIGHT - RIGHT TIP - OFF, each at 72 degree intervals.

Filler opening caps are parts basically circular in shape, designed to cover or seal the filler-neck or inlet opening of a fuel tank, radiator, oil reservoir, liquid storage tank or the like. They are either permanently attached or provided with a means of removal and replacement. 

Pressure refuel caps are used to lock, seal, and vent the pressure refuel port for an aircraft fuel tank. Pressure refueling allows for single point refueling on larger aircraft and can be used with all aircraft fuels. To fuel the aircraft, the caps are manually actuated by pressing down on the handle, which will vent and unlock the cap for removal by twisting. The cap remains attached to the aircraft by a lanyard. Once refueling is complete, the cap is inserted back onto the adapter and twisted until locked into place, which effectively reseals the pressure refuel port.

Pressure refuel caps are offered by different manufacturers such as Parker Aerospace, Eaton Coporation and others. They are designed in accordance with military specification MIL-C-8605B (for technical requirements) and MS29526-2(for envelope requirements).

Those from Parker Aerospace are 4.5 inches diameter, with an indexing feature and they fit into a 2.5-inch pressure refuel adapter per military specification MS24484. Their main features include an aluminum base and handle, a fluorosilicone O-ring seal, and antisparking brass chain lanyard (per industry standard RR-C-271) with a plastic tubing cover and corrosion resistant steel hooks.  Lanyards can also be fabricated with corrosion-resistant steel or flexible plastic and fuel resistant tubing. Optional features are also available such as key lock, ventilation, hinge, visual fluid level indicator, dust cover easy-lift handle and contoured adapter.
