MS20604 and MS20605 Standard pull-thru rivets are unique blind rivets typically used in nut plate applications. MS20604 and MS20605 series blind rivets are superseded by those of NASM20604 and NASM20605 respectively.They are both non structural blind rivets with universal head (MS20604) or 100 Deg. flush head (MS20605). These rivets are ideal in circumstances with very limited clearance while allowing for a secure set on both sides of the application. The symmetrical insertion allows for access and installation on either side while retaining its blind rivet capacity of one-sided installation. NASM/MS 20604 rivets come with a Universal Head, allowing for ease of installation while retaining strength and security. 

Sourced from quality manufacturers, NASM20604/MS20604 and NASM20605/MS20605 blind rivets are offered either as part of our own label (AVIATIONEU NEW ERA) product lines or as OEM parts of PCC CHERRY® AEROSPACE and other manufacturers (separately listed). They are available in different mil-spec approved materials, such as 2117-T4 grade Aluminum or 5056 Grade Aluminum, finishes and sizes. Most fasteners are mainly loaded in shear. That should be the only way for rivets as their tension capability is relatively low. Whenever there is a substantial tension load in a fastener, a threaded bolt should be used.

HI-LOK™ pins are commonly used in applications requiring high tensile strength in extreme environments. A carefully regulated breakoff groove in the self-locking HI-LOK™ collar  (separately presented) provides uniform preload values by separating when the correct torque level is reached. HI-LOK™ pins and HI-LOK™ collars offer extremely precise dimensions making these fasteners commonly used in space, military, and commercial aviation application. HI-LITE™ (HST™) rivet pins are direct descendants from their original HI-LOK™ series counterparts but significantly lighter as they are made from 6Al-4V Titanium alloy resulting in improved weight saving. Combined with HI-LITE™ nuts and collars (separately presented), they provide up to 13% weight saving compared to the previous HI-LOK™generation. Both HI-LOK™ and HI-LITE™ rivet pins are also available with ASTER improved recess (HSTR pins) that prevents failure during the assembly process,  especially suited for clearance fit assemblies of composite structures.

HI-TIGUE™ (HLT™) pin series has improved fatigue benefits by combining the hole-improvement qualities of the HI-TIGUE™ pins and the consistent preloading qualities of the HI-LOK™ collars.

USATCO C-Yoke riveters are available in single cylinder and tandem cylinder types, both in standard and high force versions. Rivet cutters of different types are commonly used in Aerospace and many industrial applications. These quality heavy duty tools are made by different manufacturers mostly in hand-held but also in bench mounted versions and can be used for cutting rivets of aluminum and other materials od different diameters and lengths. Some of them are briefly presented below.

ATI® TOOLS 501 series aerospace heavy duty rivet cutters are designed to quickly and easily shear aluminum rivets. They are adjustable for 1/4˝ to 3/4˝ long rivets in 1/16˝ increments. Available in two models with standard handle (ATI 501R) and long handle (ATI 501S).

The RC-1 heavy-duty rivet cutter manufactured by LANCASTER PUMP is designed to mount onto a workbench (or held in vice), and will cut five (5) different diameter rivets, wire, and screws to any of seven (7) different lengths. Νuts and collars by HI-SHEAR CORPORATION, subsidiary of LISI AEROSPACE, are designed to fit with their related HI-LOK™/HI-TIGUE™ and HI-LITE™ pins  (separately presented) forming the respective fastener system. HI-LOK™ nuts and collars are designed to fit HI-LOK™ & HI-TIGUE™ pins. HI-LITE™ nuts and collars are designed to fit HI-LITE™, PULL-IN™, PULL-STEM™ & TAPER HI-LITE™ pins.

With a wide range of shapes, materials and coatings, they are suited for most of structural assemblies and are commonly used in the aerospace industry in tension and shear applications. Collars’ wrenching element is designed to break-away at a controlled preload. It has been tested over time and has proven its reliability when installed with non-torque-controlled tools. Bulbed CherryLOCK® locked spindle and flush fracturing structural rivets

They consist a complete shear fastening system.  Their features can be utilized for optimum strength and performance in both thick and thin sheets. They provide the highest possible design integrity, particularly in double dimple or thin backside sheet applications. CherryLOCK® hydroshift installation tool systems are required for installation. They conform to Procurement Specification NAS1740 and Standards Pages NAS1738 and NAS1739.

ATS Pro-X rivet guns offer unmatched controllability when setting rivets of any type or size. They are used in aircraft manufacturing plants such as Boeing and Lockheed-Martin. Rivet Pin Gauges from HI-SHEAR CORPORATION,  subsidiary of LISI AEROSPACE, can be used for inspection or measurement of correct grip length of HI-LITE™ / HI-LOK™ rivet pins. Different HI-SHEAR Pin Protrusion Gauges are offered for respective HI-LITE™ / HI-LOK™series pins. HI-SHEAR Grip Gauge Assemblies can be used to measure the “grip length” of HI-LOK™ and HI-LITE™ pins, shear lockbolts, structural screws and bolts. The HI-SHEAR 2-651 Grip Gauge Assembly includes one HI-SHEAR 2-612 Grip Gauge & one HI-SHEAR 2-615 Grip Gauge Slide. The 2-612 Grip Gauge measures in increments 1/16” to 3”(1 mm to 75 mm). Made from spring temper stainless steel, 3/4" x 6-1/4".

Structural screws are made of alloy steel, are properly heat treated, and can be used as structural bolts. Those commonly used in aircraft applications are manufactured to aerospace/military standards/specifications. They are offered as part of our own branded (AVIATIONEU NEW ERA) product lines structured in different series based on the standard of their conformance. Some of the screws commonly used include NAS204 through NAS235 and AN509/AN525 series. 

MS24694 Series structural screws have a 100° countersunk Phillips head. They replace the respective AN509 series structural screws of materials and finishes. Minimum tensile strength for steel is 125,000 psi. They are fabricated from alloy steel and cadmium plated per specification QQ-P-416A, Type II, Class 3 or 300 Series Stainless Steel unplated designated by the letters "S" and "C" respectively in the product part number after MS24694 and before the size number.
