A retaining ring is a fastener that holds components or assemblies onto a shaft or in a housing/bore when installed in a groove. Once installed, the exposed portion acts as a shoulder which retains the specific component or assembly. MS16624 series are external retaining rings intended for use in different shaft sizes. They are offered in different materials (Carbon Spring Steel, Corrosion Resistant Steel, Beryllium Copper) and surface finishes (Cadmium Plated, Phosphate Coat, Zinc Coat) depending on their part number and are axially assembled.

SKYBOLT® stainless cowling fastener kits replace the old parts from other manufacturers originally installed on aircraft cowlings and access panels with exclusive SKYBOLT® CLoc®, ZLoc®, or ALoc® style stainless steel fasteners manufactured by SKYBOLT®. SKYBOLT® Cloc style fasteners are compatible with Camloc and are available in 2000 and 4000 series. ZLoc fasteners are compatible with Dzus and Aloc fasteners with Airloc ones. In addition SKYBOLT® SK2003 plate mounts upgrades those of J 7444 series commonly used in Cessna aircraft. SKYBOLT® kits for different aircraft models and year of construction are offered to cover all panels or certain portions of the engine cowling. The SKYBOLT® Cowling Fastener Kits will usually contain more of a selection than the aircraft may actually require so that a replacement project can efficiently move from start to finish. Other kits like the Trim and Fuel Tank Kit are also available.

Note: Alternative kits from competition may include less fasteners than those required for the replacement project. It is recommended that kit evaluations and price comparisons should be made on the basis of the hardware included in each kit.

ATI114C-3 from ATI® TOOLS is a quick-change spring retainer with a safety spring shoulder suitable for use with 3X and 4X guns. Accomodates 1/2″ and 5/8″ body diameter rivet sets. 

SOUTHCO® DZUS® AJ Type oval head long undercut studs are made from steel, zinc electroplated or stainless steel, indicated by the letters "SS" after the part number.The dash number represents the length ("L" dimension) of the stud. Clevis pins are used as a quick and secure fastener in place of bolts and rivets. Clevis pins can be partially threaded or unthreaded. Unthreaded Clevis pins have a domed head at one end and a cross-hole at the other end. A Clevis pin is inserted through the holes at the pronged ends of a Clevis and is kept in place by a cotter pin. Threaded Clevis pins are partially threaded on one end with a formed head on the other.

MS20392 series Clevis pins are straight, headed pins with a drilled shank. They supersede those of AN392 to AN396 series and those of AN400, AN402, AN404, and AN406 series. MS20392 series Clevis pins are produced in different materials (steel alloy, corrosion resistant steel (CRES), titanium alloy) and surface finishes (cadmium plated, chrome plated, titanium alloy - aluminum coated) with a drilled hole for cotter pin. The following letters in the part number specify materials and finishes:

“C”  Steel alloy, 4037 4130 8630 or 8740 cadmium plated

“S”  Steel alloy, 8740 cadmium plated

Cotter pins are used to secure bolts, screws, nuts, and pins. Military standard MS24665 split cotter pins are made from cadmium plated steel, replacing those of AN380 series or passivated corrosion resistant steel (CRES), replacing those of AN381 series. The CRES cotter pins are more resistant to corrosion and also used where heatresisting attributes are desired, such as forward of firewall or  in locations where nonmagnetic material is required. Regardless of their shape or material, all cotter pins serve the same general purpose - safetying. MS24665 split cotter pins are superseded by respective part numbers of NASM24665 series.

NASM35675/MS35675 series pins are headless pins with longitudinal straight grooves, made from corrosion resisting steel (CRES). MS35675 series pins are superseded by those of NASM35675 series.

SOUTHCO® DZUS® retainers and accessories for use with SOUTHCO® DZUS® fasteners. SOUTHCO® DZUS® standard line quarter-turn retaining springs made of steel, zinc plated or stainless steel. Made of aluminum for SOUTHCO® DZUS® standard studs, SOUTHCO® DZUS® GA Type full grommets can be used with “A” and “AJ”  protruding head studs and GF Type with “F” and “FJ” flush head studs. 

A full grommet is used when protection of the hole is a definite consideration. They protect panel finish and reduce stud play. 

The dash number represents the length ("L" dimension) of the grommet.

Adel (aka MS21919) aircraft clamps, are key components used in line support, vibration dampening and maintaining proper clearance for lines or harnesses running throughout the aircraft structure. The Adel clamp is a metal band, constructed from aluminum, corrosion-resistant steel and low-carbon steel, covered by a white rubber lining or cushion, made from silicone.

Adel MS21919 Series cushioned loop aerospace clamps replace respective parts of MS21104 standard. The High Temperature MS21919WH and MS21919WCH clamps feature  "silicone" white rubber cushions rated for 400 degrees for use in the aerospace industry. Cushion material enables elevated temperature usage in phosphate ester based fluid and other synthetic fluid contaminated areas. They are unaffected by ozone. Not resistant to petroleum based fluids. The extra rubber wedge at one end of the rubber cushion assures a tight fit, helps avoid pinching wires or lines when closing the clamp and helps reduce vibration when used on lines. 

The “WCH” series clamps have a corrosion resistant steel (stainless steel) strap while the “WH” series clamps have an aluminum strap. 

The MS21919WDF series clamps have an aluminum strap and a nitrile cushion while the MS21919WDG series clamps have have an aluminum strap and a chloroprene cushion.

Clamps and Cushioned Loops can be slipped over a tube or wire and closed with a bolt at assembly and have one round hole and one slot for ease of alignment and a developed shape for proper closing.
