TIMKEN® TN Series Bearing...
TIMKEN® lock nuts and respective lock washers are used in the mounting of straight bore bearings on shafts. They are available for bearings in the various series. Their dimensions relate to the bearing bore sizes.
All aircraft fuel systems have filters and strainers to ensure that the fuel delivered to the engine(s) is free from contaminants. The first of these is encountered at the outlet of the fuel tank. A sump is used to encourage the collection of debris in the lowest part of the tank, which can then be drained off before flight. The actual tank outlet for the fuel is positioned above this sump. Some type of screen is used to trap contaminants attempting to flow out of the tank into the fuel system. Finger screens (strainers) are common on light aircraft. They effectively increase the area of the fuel tank outlet, allowing a large amount of debris to be trapped while still permitting fuel to flow. They are screwed into a fitting welded in the tank outlet.
Offered finger strainers are intended for use in fuel tank outlets. They are available in standard and lage sizes. Standard size features a brass fitting with 3/8" male pipe thread which fits AN867-3 welding flange, and 1/4" female pipe thread for valve or fuel line fitting. Screen is 16 mesh brass. Large finger strainer has a 3/8"-NPT x 1/2"-M-NPT brass bushing with a T304 stainless steel screen.

The RBC® BEARINGS offers a full line of airframe control ball bearings to the aerospace industry in both “Standard” and “Precision” series. The prefix “M” in a bearing number indicates that it is of a precision series. Although designed and manufactured under demanding quality control requirements for airborne systems, these bearings have been successfully used in many industrial applications, where oscillatory movement, high loads, or corrosive environments are prevalent.
RBC® BEARINGS airframe control ball bearings conform to SAE-AS7949 (formerly MIL-B-7949) and many major OEM specifications. These bearings are of lightweight design, corrosion-resistant, grease-lubricated, and typically sealed. Airframe control bearing rings and balls are made of hardened bearing alloy, AISI 52100, with all exposed surfaces, except bearing bore, caps and seals, plated for corrosion protection. For improved corrosion protection, RBC® BEARINGS supplies bearings made of hardened stainless steel alloy, AISI 440C. This alloy may be passivated or plated with cadmium or zinc nickel for enhanced corrosion protection.
The RBC® BEARINGS Airframe Control Ball Bearings are offered in different series. The KP/KP-A and KSP/KSP-A series, presented separately, are briefly discussed below.
KP (Heavy Duty) and KP-A (Medium Duty) SAE-AS7949 Series radial ball bearings manufactured with Plyoseals. KP heavy duty single row sealed bearings comply with MS27640 specifications while KP-A medium duty single row ball deep groove sealed bearings with MS27641 specifications. Both KP and KP-A radial ball bearings are prelubricated for life and feature PTFE seals and CRES sealcaps, cadmium plated exposed surfaces except bore, caps, and seals. Both are also offered with CRES 440C material and/or zinc nickel plating per OEM specifications. Load limit ratings: Radial 1230-lbs, thrust 300-lbs.
KSP/KSP-A Series SAE-AS7949 Series single/double row, self-aligning, light and heavy duty ball bearings with bonded PTFE seals and cadmium plated exposed surfaces except bore, caps, and seals. Like those of KP/KP-A Series, both KSP and KSP-A bearings are prelubricated for life and are also offered with CRES 440C material and/or zinc nickel plating per OEM specifications.

Modern reciprocating-engine aircraft (especially large and high-performance ones) use electrically operated auxiliary fuel boost and transfer pumps to keep fuel moving toward the aircraft engine or move fuel between tanks to balance aircraft weight. Centrifugal boost pumps, electric motor driven, are the most common type and are used to supply, back up the engine-driven fuel pump or transfer fuel between tanks if the aircraft is so designed. They are most frequently submerged in the fuel tank or located just outside of the bottom of the tank with the inlet of the pump extending into the tank. Cartridge/canister or in-tank mounted pumps supply fuel to the aircraft engine while reverse flow through the pump is prevented by check valves. The cartridge/canister design allows removal of the pump cartridge without draining the fuel tank. If the pump is mounted outside the tank, a pump removal valve is typically installed so the pump can be removed without draining the fuel tank.
The RAPCO FAA-PMA approved pumps are offered as direct replacements of the respective pumps by OEMs such as PARKER AIRBORNE or DUKES (please refer to their separate product presentations). The letters " RA" in the beginning of the RAPCO part number are used to denote the correlation of RAPCO part number to the OEM part number. They incorporate modern design, materials, and manufacturing processes to provide high quality and performance fuel pumps at competitive prices.
These pumps can be furnished as NEW or OVERHAUL EXCHANGE, namely new or overhauled pumps in exchange of existing customer owned units (cores). In all exchange cases, the full selling price of the ordered unit is charged and the core credit is refunded or credited towards future orders with us when our co-operating supplier verifies that the unit is in a reasonable serviceable condition. In the case of overhauled pumps, these are overhauled in accordance with FAA-approved process specification and come with a FAA Form 8130-3. All RAPCO fuel pumps are thoroughly tested for guaranteed pump performance, with a worldwide distribution and a full warranty (same as OEM). For additional information please consult the supplied documentation (*) or contact us.

Manufactured to the highest standards, the Andair standard fuel selector range incorporates 1/4"(FS16), 3/8"(FS20) and the 1/2"(FS25) valves. These valves allow for multiple tank switching of one fuel line. Duplex fuel selectors are also offered by Andair (see separate product presentations). FS16, FS20 and FS25 series of fuel selectors are designed for safety, provide a precise and smooth feel in operation and come in different types, ranging from Type 1 ON/OFF shut off valves to valves with multiple positions to ensure the right fuel tank selection. Can be supplied with different fittings. To prevent the pilot switching the wrong tank or turning the fuel off they feature a large red lever with 'Fuel' engraved on it and a clearly labelled fascia plate to indicate which tank has been selected. It allows for a good solid detent at each tank position and also the button on top of the lever must be raised to switch the fuel off.
Designed for use with Light Sport and Ultralight aircraft, FS16 series 1/4" fuel selectors come in the following types:
Type 1 (FS16x1): simple 1/4” ON/OFF shut off valve with 90 degrees action between the two positions. On the FS16x1 there are two ports and either port can be used as the inlet or outlet.
Type 2 (FS16x2): Three way 1/4” fuel selector with positions LEFT-RIGHT-OFF and a 90 degree action between each tank selection. No lower fitting for use where there is little space behind the valve.
Type 4 (FS16x4): Designed for high wing aircraft, it has four lever positions OFF - LEFT - BOTH – RIGHT with a 90 degree action between each position. On the FS16x4 there are 3 ports. The lower port is the outlet to the engine is 1/8 NPT Female. The inlet, side ports are 1/8 NPT Female and are at the 9 o'clock and 12 o'clock positions when looking at the valve with the brass ball spindle pointing upwards. At the 3 o'clock position there is a blanking plate that covers up a PTFE gland opposing the forces of the other 2 PTFE glands.
Type 2 and Type 4 valves do not allow cross feed between each tank when the selector is in the OFF position.
For additional information please refer to the product presentations, the supplied documentation or contact us.
FAA-PMA Approved original equipment TCM Bendix magneto ignition switches with 3 positions (Right/Left/Both Mags). They come complete with two keys and faceplate. For dual ignition aircraft systems, ignition switch grounds both magneto P-leads in off position.
