TE CONNECTIVITY™ AMP connectors are offered in a wide range of shell configurations/modifications, contact arrangements and contacts to meet ARINC 404 Specification and MIL-C-81659. They are avialable in Commercial,  Military and Miniature Series with the following designations.

Commercial Series

R — Unsealed

RM — Interface seal on pin insert

RME — Environmentally sealed

Unkeyed Single-Insert Series

RMA — Standard size, unkeyed single-insert connectors, unsealed

RMAE — same as RMA, except sealed

Military Series

M — MIL qualified, unsealed

MM — MIL qualified, interface seal on pin inserts

MME — MIL qualified, environmentally sealed

Miniature Series

RA — Unsealed

RE — Sealed

Special connectors are also available—including connectors for flexible flat cable, for wire wrap-type terminations, and with contacts for board-mount applications.

TE CONNECTIVITY (AMP) solderless electrical terminals and splices meet and exceed today's requirements for reliable terminals in applications ranging from control circuits to heavy duty power wiring. The butt type splices are available in different colors and wire sizes (AWG). Appearing sizes are in inches. 

TYCO ELECTRONICS TE CONNECTIVITY™ SOLISTRAND Series Terminals & Splices are specially designed to terminate solid and stranded wire, irregular-shaped conductors, and wire-conductor combinations while still retaining the superior performance characteristics of single-purpose terminals and splices. The series resists corrosion and vibration, and the tensile strength is well within the limits of commercial and military specifications. TE Connectivity offers SOLISTRAND crimping tools to ensure terminations are consistent and uniform for easier quality control and reliable performance. The TE SOLISTRAND line includes terminals, parallel and butt splices, flat rings, spades, hooks, and flanged tongue terminals in sizes from 26AWG (0.1mm2) through 600 MCM (304mm2).

SOLISTRAND terminals and splices are constructed of fine grade high conductivity copper for optimal electrical performance

The brazed seam increases metal strength around the entire barrel area assuring withstanding harsh industrial environments. It also prevents pinched and stubbed wires

The “W” crimp – two longitudinal crimps – and the dimples or serrations inside the wire barrel  offer maximum electrical contact area after crimping and higher tensile strength. This permits the use of a shorter barrel, which end up in a smaller form factor and makes it more cost effective

Bell mouth on barrel entrance makes insertion of wires easier and reduces installation time and increasing production yield

Most SOLISTRAND terminals and splices meet or exceed the requirements of SAE AS7928, Type I, Class 1 and 2. Aircraft-, defense- and marine (related) equipment base their performance requirements on AS7928

Rated for up to 170°C maximum and therefore suitable in all standard applications.
