

VIKING MITSUBISHI/HONDA Converted Aircraft Engines SKU: VKG-ENG-AERO
The Viking Non-Certified aircraft engines are based on used Mitsubishi and Honda automobile engines of recent production removed from cars that are uneconomical to repair. Their models come in multiple horsepower ranges (from 90 hp up to 195 hp). All engines are geared, liquid cooled with a fuel injection system.
Features of their Honda based engines include liquid cooling, Honda direct gasoline fuel injection system, 4 coil ignition system, lifetime chain camshaft drive, integral exhaust manifold cast into cylinder head, off-set crank shaft and friction reduction coating throughout the engine, variable valve lift and timing, Honda racing technology parts, 40 amp genuine Nippon Denso alternator, custom Mil-spec jacketed wire loom, 3 gear gearbox for Lycoming style propeller rotation and vertical engine orientation, forged, heat treated and ground helical gears, dual overhead camshafts, original Honda tuned intake system, 2.33:1 gearbox ratio.
Viking Aircraft Engines are used and flown in a large number of homebuilt and experimental aircraft ranging from Just Aircraft, Cessna, Rans, Vans RV-12 to the Zenith Aircraft CH650 and CruZer.
Based on used Mitsubishi and Honda automobile engines Viking Non-Certified engines are suitable for application in homebuilt and experimental aircraft projects. In most cases engines used in the production of Viking aircraft engines are sourced from cars for less than 6 months or 5000 miles. Factory new engines can also be used on special request at additional cost.

Viking aircraft engines operate on Minimum 91 + Octane Fuel. For AvGas 100LL TCP or Decalin additives must be used.
