Sourced from quality producers, NASM/MS 21042/21043 and NAS1291 series nuts are offered as part of our AVIATIONEU NEW ERA product lines.

The NAS1291 series lock-nuts are widely used throughout the aerospace industry. They are thin-walled, self-locking nuts with a reduced height and are made of corrosion resisting (stainless) steel or cadmium plated alloy steel with or without dry film lubricant for 450 deg. F use. The nuts from corrosion resisting steel are designated by the letter "C" after NAS1291. The NAS1291 series of nuts ranges in size from 02 to 10, with corresponding thread diameters of .086 to .6250 inches. Some versions of the NAS1291 lock-nut have been superseded by NASM21042/MS21042 and NASM21043/MS21043 series. 

The MS21042 series (superseded by NASM21042 series) are all-metal hexagon reduced height self-locking nuts, rated at 160,000 psi tensile strength, made of cadmium plated steel. They are shorter than the AN363 nut but develop the same tensile strength. They are also  lighter than AN365 nylon lock nuts (an average of 63% lighter for sizes -3 through -6).The NASM21042/MS21042 lock nuts are widely used throughout the aerospace industry together with those of MS21043 series (superseded by NASM21043) all-metal reduced hexagon, reduced height self-locking nuts with a ring base made of corrosion resistance steel and silver plated. Because of their reduced hex dimension, they are widely used in limited space applications where wrench access is a problem. Both are designed for use in high temperature installations (up to 450°F for MS21042 series  and up to 800°F for MS21043 series nuts). They both come without or with or  a dark grey dry film lubricant (Lubed) indicated by the letter "L" in their part number.

The NASM21043/MS21043 series are used to replace certain versions of older NAS1291 series thin-walled reduced height self-locking nuts, made of corrosion resisting (stainless) steel or cadmium plated alloy steel (see product presentation).

Anchor nuts (aka nutplates or anchor plates) are terms used interchangeably and relate to stamped sheet metal fasteners with an internally threaded tube and a plate with two clearance holes for rivets. They are used in blind mounted panel applications in aerospace and other industrial sectors where hex nuts cannot be used or an attached nut is required for ease of maintenance. 

Anchor nuts can be Fixed or Floating, the latter being easier to use due to their built-in nut (threaded hole) able to "float" slightly thus providing a convenient connection point for threaded rods, such as bolts, from the backside. In the case of Fixed anchor nuts, the built-in nut is static (i.e. without the capability to “float”) and the threaded rod must be positioned perfectly over the hole. Self-locking anchor nuts are those with a built-in locking mechanism preventing them from loosening over time from vibrations. They are extensively used in aerospace, automotive, and construction industries.

Depending on their intended application, nutplates conform to different military, aerospace, ISO or other industrial standards such as the German DIN, U.S. (ASME & ASTM, IFI, ANSI), British BS, Japanese JIS and others. RAY ALLEN (RAC) R2S Rocker Switch provides a very positive snap action in 2 directions and returns to a center off position. It was designed specifically for Ray Allen trim systems. It is wired to connect both power leads to ground when the rocker is released. This eliminates motor coasting and allows very precise trimming. The RS2 switch is rated at 1amp. Flared tube coupling nuts conforming SAE International standard AS5175 are used for a leak-free solution on aircraft and other applications replacing respective AN818 parts. They are offered  as part of our own (AVIATIONEU NEW ERA) product lines in different materials and grades and multiple thread sizes to suit application needs. Material Code Letters in the part numbers indicate the composition of the fitting (No code for Steel 1137 or 4130, "D" for Aluminum alloys (except 7075-T73), "J" for 304 Stainless Steel (CRES 304), "K" for 316 Stainless Steel (CRES 316), "T" for Titanium 64AI-4V or "W" for Aluminum 7075-T73. These nuts are designed to be used with AS5176 and MS20819 sleeves. The 2 digits after the series code indicate the tubing outer diameter (O.D.)  in inches. Finish code “V” in the PN indicates high purity Aluminum coating for “W” or “D” fittings. Depending on their Part Number they are sold in pieces but also in packs a with specified number of fittings indicated after the letters "PK" in the product reference number (SKU).

Note: In SAE AS standards for new designs, aluminum fittings with material code letter D in their Part or Identifying Number (PIN) are replaced by those with material code letter W for Aluminum Alloy 7075-T73 providing a higher tensile strength.

MIL-spec were initially developed to standardize wires and cables used in military equipment. For many years, wires used in aircraft met MIL-W-5086  mil-spec and SAE-AS50861 standards superseeding them. They were manufactured with the use of tin-coated copper conductors rated at 600 volts and temperatures of 105°C and various insulating coatings including polyvinyl chloride (PVC). The PVC insulation provided resistance to abrasion, among many other things. Still in production, MIL-W-5086  cables in their various types of conductors and jacket constructions are used, apart from the aircraft in other applications that require resistance to abrasion, cut-through, impact, chemicals, and fuels. They are gradually replaced by those made in accordance with Mil-W-22759 standard due to toxic fumes generated by PVC insulation in the event of a fire. The Mil-W-22759 standard transitioned to SAE AS22759 in 2004. These two standards are essentially identical and cover a of wide range of single conductor wires (please refer to the Product Description section and supplied documentation for assistance).

Sourced from quality producers, AS22759/M22759 wires are offered as part of our own labelled (AVIATIONEU NEW ERA) product lines in different configurations, various AWG(*) sizes, in white (standard) or other color variations (desired color should be specified at the time of ordering). They are suitable for use in a range of applications in military and civilian aircraft, in harsh aircraft engine environments, for control surfaces as well as applications in areas subject to severe weather and moisture-prone (SWAMP).

Those commonly used are SAE AS22759/16  unshielded wires (replacing wires produced as per M22759/16 /17/18 and /19  specifications) but other configurations can be available. This specification uses stranded tin plated copper or silver plated high strength alloy conductors and extruded ethylene/tetrafluorbethylene (ETFE) insulation. Respective wire ratings are 150° C and 600 Volts.

The AVIATIONEU NEW ERA AS22759/M22759 wires are sold in cut-to-order lengths in 10 ft increments or pre-determined lengths in feet, indicated in the product reference number (SKU), and packed in rolls or spools. These wires are accompanied by our Certificate of Conformance (CoC).
