AL6061 is an aluminium alloy, with magnesium and silicon as the primary alloying elements. It is one of the most common alloys of aluminum for general-purpose use. Commonly available in pre-tempered grades such as 6061-O (annealed) as well as tempered grades such as 6061-T6 or 6061-T651. It can be compared with AL5052 (the highest strength alloy of the more non-heat-treatable grades) as well as with AL6063 which  is similar in composition and mechanical properties. AVIATIONEU NEW ERA Aluminum 5052 H32 Temper round bars/rods are non-heat treatable, weldable, highly resistant to corrosion, used for marine, chemical and petrochemical applications. They are hardened by cold work and have good forming characteristics and corrosion resistance, including resistance to salt water. Although easily welded, they are not recommended for brazing and soldering applications. Main features of these bars/rods include their corrosion resistance, particularly in marine applications, adaptability to most mechanical and finishing processes although the heavier anodic films may take on a yellowish cast as well as fair machining with the proper set-up. AISI/SAE(*) 4130 and 4140 grade steels are low-alloy steels containing chromium and molybdenum as common composition elements. Both are are popular steel materials due to their properties. AISI 4130 grade steel shows good overall combinations of strength, toughness and fatigue strength with good atmospheric corrosion resistance while AISI 4140 grade steel features a high fatigue strength, abrasion and impact resistance, toughness, and torsional strength. Both alloys are weldable with the use of all conventional techniques (AISI 4130 alloy's lower carbon composition compared to AISI 4140 allows easier welding) and machinable in the annealed condition. Sourced from quality producers, most of these bars/rods are produced, unless otherwise specified, as “Cold Finished Normalized” (aka “Condition D4”), indicated by the letters "NRZ" and  "CF" in the product SKUs. They come in different dimesions in inches and cut to order (CTO) lengths in feet (*) and meet several AMS specifications, most common being AMS-S-6758 and AMS- 6348. They are widely used in a variety of applications due to their excellent strength to weight ratio,weldability by all conventional methods and resistance to scaling and oxidation.

Steel alloy 4130 (ST4130), aka Chrome Moly, after the 2 key composition elements, chromium & molybdenum, is a general-purpose alloy steel widely used by the aviation and motorsports industries due to its weldability, fabrication, and mild hardenability in all offered forms (tubes, bars/rods, sheets and plates). Available in two material states (Normalized and Annealed) depending on the process of how the material is heated and cooled. The Normalized condition (aka "Condition N") is the harder and stronger condition, best used when forming is not needed while the Annealed condition (aka "Condition A") is the softer and formable condition.

AL2024 is an aluminium alloy, with copper as the primary alloying element. It is used in applications requiring high strength to weight ratio, as well as good fatigue resistance, weldablility and average machinability. It comes in different tempers (O without heat treatment or T with heat treatment). Due to the poor corrosion resistance of this alloy  it is often clad (specified as CLAD or ALCLAD) in which case high-purity aluminium surface layers are metallurgically bonded to the aluminium alloy core material.

They are heat treated, cold finished and available in different diameters and pre-cut lengths in inches to meet application requirements.  They comply with ASTM -B211, AMS -4120 & AMS -QQ-A-225/6 specifications. AL6061 is an aluminium alloy, with magnesium and silicon as the primary alloying elements. It is one of the most common alloys of aluminum for general-purpose use. Commonly available in pre-tempered grades such as 6061-O (annealed) as well as tempered grades such as 6061-T6 or 6061-T651. It can be compared with AL5052 (the highest strength alloy of the more non-heat-treatable grades) as well as with AL6063 which  is similar in composition and mechanical properties. AL6061 main features include: heat-treatable, excellent machinability, excellent corrosion resistance, semi-smooth surface, lightweight, high-tensile strength. Commonly used in transportation components, recreation products, machinery and equipment, and consumer durables.

Extruded bars/rods from 6061 aluminum alloy are offered as part of our own branded (AVIATIONEU NEW ERA) product lines. They come in different cross sections such as round, rectangular or square. Competitively priced, they are sourced from quality producers and offered as T6/T651 tempered. 

AVIATIONEU NEW ERA Aluminum 6061 T6 Temper round bars/rods are produced by extrusion and offered in different diameters and pre-cut lengths in inches to meet application requirements. They comply with ASTM-B221 and AMS-QQ-A-200/8 specifications.
