Adel (aka MS21919) aircraft clamps, are key components used in line support, vibration dampening and maintaining proper clearance for lines or harnesses running throughout the aircraft structure. The Adel clamp is a metal band, constructed from aluminum, corrosion-resistant steel and low-carbon steel, covered by a white rubber lining or cushion, made from silicone.

Adel MS21919 Series cushioned loop aerospace clamps are offered as part of AVIATIONEU NEW ERA product lines in different sizes with their bands (straps) and cushions manufactured from different materials.

The High Temperature MS21919WH and MS21919WCH clamps feature  "silicone" white rubber cushions rated for 400 degrees for use in the aerospace industry. Cushion material enables elevated temperature usage in phosphate ester based fluid and other synthetic fluid contaminated areas. They are unaffected by ozone. Not resistant to petroleum based fluids. The extra rubber wedge at one end of the rubber cushion assures a tight fit, helps avoid pinching wires or lines when closing the clamp and helps reduce vibration when used on lines. 

The “WCH” series clamps have a corrosion resistant steel (stainless steel) strap while the “WH” series clamps have an aluminum strap. 

The MS21919WDF Series clamps have an aluminum strap and a nitrile cushion while the MS21919WDG Series clamps have have an aluminum strap and a chloroprene cushion.

Clamps and Cushioned Loops can be slipped over a tube or wire and closed with a bolt at assembly and have one round hole and one slot for ease of alignment and a developed shape for proper closing.

Aircraft washers used in airframe construction or repair works are either plain, lock, or special type washers. 

AN960/AN960L series are aeronautical (Army-Navy) standard flat washers superseded by the respective washers in NAS1149/NAS1149L series. They come in regular thickness (NAS1149/AN960) or light thickness (NAS1149L/AN960L) indicated by the letter "L" in the dash number of the product reference number (SKU). They are made from different materials such as carbon steel, corrosion resistant steel (CRES) and aluminum alloys. These washers are used under hex nuts to provide a smooth bearing surface, as shims to obtain the correct grip length for a bolt and nut assembly, and to adjust the position of AN310 and AN320 castle nuts with respect to drilled cotter pin holes in bolts and clevis pins. 

NAS1149/AN960 and NAS1149L/AN960L series washers are offered as part of our own labeled (AVIATIONEU NEW ERA) product lines. They can be furnished in different materials (such as carbon steel, CRES, anodized aluminum or aluminum alloy), different finishes and different inside, outside diameters and thicknesses in inches.  Letters in the part number of NAS1149/AN960 washers are used for material and finish specification. Clevis pins are used as a quick and secure fastener in place of bolts and rivets. Clevis pins can be partially threaded or unthreaded. Unthreaded Clevis pins have a domed head at one end and a cross-hole at the other end. A Clevis pin is inserted through the holes at the pronged ends of a Clevis and is kept in place by a cotter pin. Threaded Clevis pins are partially threaded on one end with a formed head on the other.

MS20392 series Clevis pins are straight, headed pins with a drilled shank. They supersede those of AN392 to AN396 series and those of AN400, AN402, AN404, and AN406 series. MS20392 series Clevis pins are produced in different materials (steel alloy, corrosion resistant steel (CRES), titanium alloy) and surface finishes (cadmium plated, chrome plated, titanium alloy - aluminum coated) with a drilled hole for cotter pin. Socket screws are available in regular cap screw and flat and button type. MS internal wrenching bolts (superseding  NAS series) are offered as part of AVIATIONEU NEW ERA product lines. Sourced from quality producers, they are fabricated from 160-180 ksi high-strength steel and are intended for use in both tension and shear applications. Standard AN hex head bolts and washers cannot be substituted for them as they do not have the required strength. NAS 144 to 158 series are supeseded by MS 20004 to MS 20024 series. Refer to the supersedure chart provided. 

These bolts are available in different total and grip lengths, thread pitches and diameters in inches as well as with drilled or undrilled heads and shanks. The head of the internal wrenching bolt is recessed to allow the insertion of an internal wrench when installing or removing the bolt. When they are used in steel parts, the bolt hole must be slightly countersunk to seat the large corner radius of the shank at the head. In Dural material, a special heat-treated washer must be used to provide an adequate bearing surface for the head. They should always be used with the designed companion washer MS20002C(size) under the head as these bolts have a noticeable radius at the head to shank juncture. Special high-strength nuts are used on these bolts. To develop full tension use an NAS1804-(size) 180ksi, or an MS21042-(size) 160ksi nut according to your requrements. 

Unless specified by the following letters in the part numbers, internal wrenching bolts come with an Undrilled Shank and Undrilled Head.

Structural screws are made of alloy steel, are properly heat treated, and can be used as structural bolts. MS24694 Series structural screws have a 100° countersunk Phillips head. They replace the respective AN509 series structural screws of materials and finishes. Minimum tensile strength for steel is 125,000 psi. They are fabricated from alloy steel and cadmium plated per specification QQ-P-416A, Type II, Class 3 or 300 Series Stainless Steel unplated designated by the letters "S" and "C" respectively in the product part number after MS24694 and before the size number.

Inconel® is a registered trademark of Special Metals Corporation (SMC) for a family of austenitic nickel-chromium-based superalloys. Inconel® suitability for extreme pressure and heat environments and corrosion resistance allow its use in most demanding operating conditions. The AL2024 aluminum alloy (with copper as the primary alloying element) also known as aerospace grade aluminum, is commonly used in aircraft structural applications due to its high strength and fatigue resistance.  It is suitable for applications requiring high stress and strain resistance. The AL2024 aluminum alloy is stronger but less versatile than AL6061 alloy, which is more corrosion resistant, easier to weld, and more suited to machining, but less strong than the AL7075 alloy.

AL2024 aluminum alloy sheets come as Annealed (O Temper) without heat treatment or as heat treated to attain their maximum strength. Heat treated sheets are available in vatious T tempers (such as T3,T4,T5,T6 and T651) for use in a range of aviation and industrial applications.

2024-O CLAD (ALCLAD) Aluminum alloy sheets(*) are offered as part of AVIATIONEU NEW ERA product lines and they consist an excellent choice when high corrosion resistance is needed. Sourced from quality producers, these sheets  are readily formed in the annealed condition and may be subsequently heat treated. They feature good machinability and can be machined to a high finish. National Aerospace Standard (NAS) bolts come in a large variance of lengths, thread types, head type, and materials. NAS bolts are suitable for high strength applications. They are the same as Army-Navy (AN) bolts, except they may be either raised or recessed.

The number after NAS428 ( - ) denotes the thread size in 1/16th inch increments.The number after the last dash ( - ) is the overall length under the head.
