A retaining ring is a fastener that holds components or assemblies onto a shaft or in a housing/bore when installed in a groove. MS16625 series are internal retaining rings intended for use in different housing diameters. They are offered in different materials (Carbon Spring Steel, Corrosion Resistant Steel, Beryllium Copper) and surface finishes (Cadmium Plated, Phosphate Coat, Zinc Coat) depending on their part number.

Machine screws are one of the more widely used products among dozens of standard fastener types. They can be either coarse-threaded or fine-threaded, and are usually available with a wide range of head types. Usually stronger than many other screw types, they are used for fastening metal parts and panels securely together in a range of construction and other applications including aerospace, machinery, vehicles, engines, tool assemblies, electronic devices, and large-scale industrial equipment. 

Sourced from quality producers,  machine screws are offered as part of our own branded (AVIATIONEU NEW ERA) product lines conforming to aerospace/military or industrial standards/specifications.  They come in different sizes, head types, materials and thread gradings. Countersunk screws allow the head of the screw to sit flush with or below the surface of the surrounding material. They may also be used to remove the burr left from a drilling or tapping operation thereby improving the finish of the product and removing any hazardous sharp edges.

AVIATIONEU NEW ERA MS35206 and MS35207 series of machine (non structural) screws are mil spec pan head cross recessed (Phillips) screws, manufactured from carbon steel and are cadmium plated to specification QQ-P-416, Type 2, Class 3. MS35206 series machine screws feature 60,000 psi min. tensile strength and can be used as replacements for AN526 truss head & AN515 round head screws. MS35207 series machine screws are fine threaded have a minimum tensile strength of 55,000 psi and replace the AN507R series. AN hex head bolts in different series are offered under AVIATIONEU NEW ERA product series. Sourced from quality vendors, these bolts are manufactured to the US Army-Navy (AN) standard, predecessor to Mil-Spec (MS), superseded by the National Aerospace Standard (NAS). Commonly used in aviation for either tensile/shear load applications. Made from high-strength type 4037 or 8740 alloy steel or 431 Stainless Steel (CRES) and cadmium plated for superior corrosion resistance (compared to commercial grade zinc plated bolts) they are offered with shank drilled for cotter pin or undrilled for stop nut application, and with a drilled head for safety wire or without. Minimum Tensile Strength (Steel and CRES) - 125,000psi. The length of AN aircraft bolts is measured from under the head to the end of the shank. The "grip" is the unthreaded portion of the shank. Threads are pressed into the steel, not cut, thus maintaining strength throughout the entire shank. The surface under the head of AN bolts is designed to be a bearing surface to reduce non-uniform stress as the bolt is torqued thus reducing premature fatigue. The following letters are used in the product part  numbers.

AN10 bolts have a 5/8-18 thread with a 5/8" shank diameter. All AN10 bolts have a 0.955 thread length regardless of grip length. They can be torqued  to 92-108 lb-ft with AN365 or AN310 full-height nuts, or 50-65 lb-ft with AN364 or MS21042 half-height nuts. Indicated lengths are UHL: Under Head Length (aka Full Shank Length or Overall Length not including bolt head).

Blind Rivets are multi-piece rivet assemblies, capable of being installed from one side of the workpiece.Traditionally, blind rivets were used on aircraft leading edges, trailing edges, and close out areas which are limited to access to one side of the structure.  Current blind rivet usage has expanded to many additional areas of the aircraft in an effort to decrease labor expense and to address the ergonomic issues of solid riveting.

The CherryMAX® rivet by CHERRY® AEROSPACE is the most reliable, high strength structural fastener with visual inspectability in the world today.  It features the "Safe-lock" locking collar for more reliable joint integrity, and meets the requirements of PS-CMR-3000. CherryMAX® fasteners are currently available in 1/8" through 1/4" diameters in both nominal (CR3212 and CR3213 Series) and 1/64" oversize diameters (CR3242 and CR3243 Series).

AVIATIONEU NEW ERA ASTM A324 Grade 10.9 Series high tensile hexagonal head threaded bolts are produced from medium carbon steel, medium carbon steel alloy and low carbon boron steel with heat treatment by both quenching and tempering.  They meet ASTM A324 Grade BD and SAE J429 standards. These bolds feature high tensile strength and good wear resistance and are used in automotive applications and for bolting large and forged parts.

The NAS1022 Series nuts are low height and strength hexagon machine nuts available in different materials and finishes. Those from 450 Deg. low strength steel are designated by the letter "A" after NAS1022. Similarly, the letter "C" designates nuts from corrosion resisting steel passivated while the letter "N" refers to steel cad plated nuts. They are offered as part of our own branded (AVIATIONEU NEW ERA) product lines in different thread sizes and dimensions in inches.

CR SEALS power tranmission seals (formerly Chicago Rawhide) are included as an SKF brand  in the company's portfolio for radial and axial shaft sealing solutions in power transmission applications. CR Seals provide superior reliability and performance by retaining lubricants, excluding contaminants, and maintaining seal integrity under pressure. AN315/NASM315 Series hex plain nuts are manufactured from steel and cadmium plated per QQ-P-416A, Type II, Class 3, corrosion resistance steel or aluminum alloys. The AN315 nuts have been superseded by NASM315 Series. Similar to common nuts  but with a rugged construction they are designed and built with aviation grade materials and to specific aviation design specifications. They can carry the same high tension load as the AN310 castle nuts and require an auxiliary locking device such as a check nut or lock washer. 

Sourced from quality producers, the AN315/NASM315 Series hex plain nuts are offered as part of AVIATIONEU NEW ERA product lines in different thicknesses and thread sizes in inches. The following letters are used to designate specific types of airframe nuts:

AN315 (REV. 10) (NOTICE 2)., AIR FORCE-NAVY AERONAUTICAL STANDARD: Nut, Plain, Castellated, Airframe (23 SEP 2002) [S/S BY NASM315]., AN315 REV. 10, dated 29 DECEMBER 1972, is hereby canceled and superseded by NASM315. The Part Identification Number (PIN) for AN315 REV. 10 and the part number for NASM315 are identical. The part numbers have not been changed.

Floating nut plates are low profile and lightweight nut plates used to install a captive nut behind a panel. The floating nut plate (aka anchor nut) allows for an assembly that is not perfectly aligned. 

MS21059/MS21060 Series nut plates (*) are offered as part of AVIATIONEU NEW ERA product lines. Sourced from quality manufacturers they are floating low height self-locking, two lug  anchor nuts. Those included in MS21059 series are manufactured from cadmium plated carbon steel while the MS21060 nutplates are produced from corrosion resistant steel (CRES) and silver plated. They are available in different Unified thread sizes, with plain or countersunk rivet holes on each side and come with or without a dry film lube. 

Nut plates with a dry film lube are specified by the letter "L" in the part number. Nut plates with countersunk rivet holes are specified by the letter "K" at the end of the part number.

(*) Anchor nuts (aka nut plates or anchor plates) are stamped sheet metal fasteners are used in blind mounted panel applications, where it is impractical to use hex nuts or where it is desirable to have an attached nut for ease of maintenance. They are usually riveted to a workpiece and have an internally threaded tube and a plate with two clearance holes for rivets. These terms are used interchangeably to describe the respective fasteners. 

C-Spec 4000 series  (Camloc® compatible)  heavy duty stud assemblies from MILSPEC PRODUCTS form part of C-Spec 4000 Series Quick Release Fastening System which also includes grommets, retainers, and receptacles with many options for each of these components for best results in existing and new applications. C-Spec 4000 stud  assemblies are available in several head styles and materials. They consist of a stud blank, cup, spring and cross pin and are installed in the 4000 series grommets by using MILSPEC pliers part number MS-4P3. The cross pins should never be removed for installation as this ruins the integrity of the stud. Information on grommets, retainers, and receptacles are provided on each component's page.

Note: The most important decision to make is to use a Fixed Depth receptacle or Adjustable Depth receptacle as this greatly affects the stud selection process (see reference table).

NAS machine bolts are commonly used in aircraft, space shuttles, military vehicles, drones, and other high-performance applications. They are offered in different series to meet application requirements. NAS6203 through NAS6210 series include hex head, close tolerance, alloy steel, short thread, self-locking & non-locking bolts.

Sourced from quality producers, NAS6203 through NAS6210 series are offered as part of our own branded (AVIATIONEU NEW ERA) product lines. These fine-threaded, dimpled-head hex bolts have a minimum tensile strength of 160,000 psi and a minimum shear strength of 95,000 psi. Thread length is consistent within each diameter (1103/6203 series have a shorter thread), and grips are available in 1/16” increments beginning at 1/16”. Used in applications where a premium-quality, high strength bolt is necessary. They come in different nominal diameters: NAS6203: 3/16 in. (0.1875"), NAS6204: 1/4 in. (0.25"), NAS6205: 5/16 in. (0.3125"), NAS6206: 3/8 in. (0.375"), NAS6208: 1/2 in. (0.500"), NAS6210: 5/8 in. (0.625").

NAS6205 series shear hexagon head bolts with a 5/16-24" thread supercede NAS1105 high strength bolts. Their shearing feature is used to minimize damage to critical components of the application. They are made from alloy steel with cadmium or chromium finishes and offered in different grips and lengths in inches with undrilled or drilled head and/or shank. They are sold in pieces.

Clevis pins are used as a quick and secure fastener in place of bolts and rivets. Clevis pins can be partially threaded or unthreaded. Unthreaded Clevis pins have a domed head at one end and a cross-hole at the other end. A Clevis pin is inserted through the holes at the pronged ends of a Clevis and is kept in place by a cotter pin. Threaded Clevis pins are partially threaded on one end with a formed head on the other.

MS20392 series Clevis pins are straight, headed pins with a drilled shank. They supersede those of AN392 to AN396 series and those of AN400, AN402, AN404, and AN406 series. MS20392 series Clevis pins are produced in different materials (steel alloy, corrosion resistant steel (CRES), titanium alloy) and surface finishes (cadmium plated, chrome plated, titanium alloy - aluminum coated) with a drilled hole for cotter pin. The following letters in the part number specify materials and finishes:
