EASTMAN  CHEMICAL COMPANY is the only oil manufacturer to offer broadly used DOD-PRF-85734 and MIL-PRF-23699 High Thermal Stability (HTS) Class oils, to suit all helicopter oil lubrication needs. 

EASTMAN Turbo Oil 25™ is a 5 cSt high load-carrying gas turbine oil, formulated from synthetic base stocks and advanced technology additives to provide the combined thermal and oxidation stability properties of commercial Type II lubricants with extreme pressure additives for maximising gear system reliability. It is designed to meet the requirements for the most demanding gear applications of helicopters and offers exceptional load-carrying ability over Type II oils in helicopter gearboxes and transmissions. It has been approved for use in many Bell, Eurocopter and Sikorsky helicopters.

It the most widely used HTS oil in the world, featuring  high temperature cleanliness, excellent oxidative stability for the turbine engine's health and best-in-class coking for longer bearing life and outstanding thermal stability, 

TURBO OIL 2380™ was one of the first turbine oils to be qualified and approved for Mil-PRF-23699 STD (Standard) class and subsequently SAE AS5780 SPC (Standard Performance Capability) class  and still one of the most widely used turbine oils in the commercial aviation industry. It offers optimal electrical conductivity to avoid short circuits and is the best oil for low-temperature viscosity. The engine can be started at low temperatures without wear issues. Hard starts can also be reduced and carbon seal life can be improved. It is uniquely suited for turboprops, providing the highest high-load-carrying capability in its class.

TURBO OIL 2389™ is a low viscosity gas turbine oil, offering best-in-class thermal stability for more reliable performance across a range of temperatures. It is an advanced APU performance oil with excellent “cold soak” reliability in aircraft APUs. Due to its good oxidation stability, it results in an improved fluid life in the engine making it the most widely used 3 cSt synthetic lubricant in aircraft APUs.

TURBO OIL 25™  is a high load-carrying gas turbine oil, for the most demanding gear applications. It is formulated for the high-load-carrying demands of today’s helicopter transmission systems reducing wear on critical parts and improving reliability and operation safety in transmissions and gearboxes.

TURBO OIL 274™ is a DEF STAN 91-98 oil in the 7.5 cSt viscosity class, uniquely suited for older turboprop applications. It features a good high temperature performance and load-carrying ability for long trouble-free operations under severe conditions.

EASTMAN Turbo Oil 2380™...

Eastman Turbo Oil 2380™ is a 5 cSt synthetic lubricant, approved against US military specification MIL-PRF-23699F STD, and UK military specification DEF STAN 91-101/2 (replaced DERD 2499). It is still one of the most widely used turbine oils in the commercial aviation industry and consists an ideal for Single Oil Fleet Solution. It was one of the first turbine oils to be qualified and approved for MIL-PRF-23699 STD (Standard) class and subsequently SAE AS5780 SPC (Standard Performance Capability) class. Eastman Turbo Oil 2380™ provides a balanced combination of thermal and oxidation stability, load carrying capacity, lower volatility and has the best low temperature flow characteristics of all 5 cSt turbine oils. It is recommended for the lubrication of most aircraft gas turbines and accessories. It is also recommended for the lubrication of aero-derived gas turbines in industrial power generation, offshore and marine applications.

Therminol® family of of thermal fluids and heat transfer fluids, produced by Solutia Inc, a subsidiary of Eastman Chemical Co., are used for process heating and cooling. Eastman Therminol® high-performance synthetic heat transfer fluids have been developed specifically for the indirect transfer of process heat. Today, the Therminol® brand is that of top-selling synthetic heat transfer fluids in the world with uses  in more than 15,000 systems.

Eastman Therminol® heat transfer fluids are designed to provide precise temperature control in a variety of applications and can meet the operating needs of virtually any single- or multiple-station heat-using station heating and/or cooling system, with operating ranges from -175 degrees F to 750 degrees F (-115 degrees C to 400 degrees C).  In properly designed systems,  Therminol® fluids provide excellent thermal stability within their expected temperature ranges for extended periods without breakdown or corrosion for years of trouble-free service with minimum downtime.
