Stratus ESG digital transponders by APPAREO have been designed with non-glass panel aircraft in mind. Different models are offered for non certified and certified aircraft. Stratus ESG transponders feature 1090 ES (Mode-S extended squitter), 310 W nominal power output, a built-in WAAS GPS, compliance with global mandates for ADS-B Out transponders, push-button operation with modern keypad makes entering a squawk code easy, easy-to-use interface and pressure altitude monitor. Their form-factor enables easy replacement for existing transponders.

Version for non certified aircraft is offered as unit only or together with wire pigtail.

The version for certified aircraft is TSO'd and can be used to replace existing transponders in a wide range of aircraft models from different aircraft manufacturers like Cessna, Piper, Beechcraft, Mooney, Diamond and others. Certified units can only be shipped to a certified Appareo installer.
