Manufacturer of advanced electronic flight instrument systems for experimental and light sport aircraft including EFIS and engine monitoring systems and radios.
MGL AVIONICS is a manufacturer of advanced electronic flight instrument systems for experimental and light sport aircraft including EFIS and engine monitoring systems and radios.
MGL AVIONICS precision temperature sender (probe) is based on a brass housing with an 1/8” NPT thread suitable for Rotax water/oil cooled and Jabiru engines.
This probe is electrically isolated from the engine which is helpful in some installations Accurate with a maximum installed error reading of less than 2 degrees over the full temperature range. Recommended for applications were exact water and/or oil temperature readings are required.
MGL AVIONICS XTreme full featured instrument series include an Electronic Flight Instrument System (XTreme-EFIS) with navigation/autopilot capabilities and anEngine Monitoring System (XTreme-EMS). Their light weight, small size and high level of functionality makes them an excellent choice for use in non-certified aircraft. Both instruments fit a standard 3 1/8” (80mm) instrument panel hole. All information is displayed in an easy to read format on a high resolution wide viewing angle 4.3” sunlight readable color display. The XTreme-EFIS includes all the functions of the XTreme-EMS version. It a compact, multifunction electronic flight information system intended as a main flight instrument in smaller aircraft or as a backup/secondary flight instrument in larger aircraft. It integrates all the necessary functionality to replace several flight and engine monitoring instruments. The XTreme-EMS is a compact universal engine monitor replacing several engine monitoring instruments. All engine sensors are connected to a RDAC (Remote data acquisition unit) normally mounted behind the aircraft firewall. A simple CAN communication link is then necessary to connect the XTreme-EMS to the RDAC.
The N16 split design remote-mount VHF Navigation Receiver by MGL AVIONICS belongs to a new generation of navigation receivers based on RF direct conversion technology. The N16 is identical in size to the V16 COMM radio and can be used in a simple configuration as combined NAV/COMM solution for both MGL EFIS systems using the MGL protocols or, if at least one MGL VEGA or RAZOR control head is used these heads can provide NAV/COMM data output on RS-232 that is compatible with most EFIS systems on the market. Like V16 COMM, it is a Non-TSO'd NAV receiver for use in experimental and light-sport aircraft. For stand-alone operation, at least one MGL RAZOR control head or two MGL VEGA heads are required. Using these heads a fully compliant solution is presented that provides both VOR CDI using a rotary control for OBS bearing entry as well as the familiar two bar ILS localizer and glideslope indication. The VOR provides a display for bearing to station and radial from station at the same time for up to two simultaneously-received VOR stations. For additional information please refer to the attached documentation.
The V16 VHF Aviation Radio Transceiver by MGL AVIONICS is the latest generation and the first in a new ecosystem of Comm Radios, Nav Radios and controllers designed with modern components and ingenuity for the lowest cost. It is a Non-TSO'd split design remote-mount COMM Radio (replacing MGL V6) for use in experimental and light-sport aircraft, which can be controlled directly by an MGL Avionics iEFIS (Gen 3 and above), with or without RAZOR/VEGA Controls or by a mix (and any number) of MGL RAZOR or VEGA series Control Heads, enabling dual radio displays and controls. It boasts 10 Watts of transmit power (unmodulated carrier). When paired with a RAZOR/VEGA control, the control can be connected to any EFIS or display that communicates with SL30/SL40 protocols, to tune the radio and load frequency lists. The V16 includes a 2-place intercom with a wide-range VOX system. Multiple headsets can be connected to the passenger channel if necessary. The advanced voice-activated intercom provides clear audio in noisy cockpits. In extreme cases the intercom can be activated via a switch connected to V16 (intercom PTT). For additional information please refer to the attached documentation.
The STRATOMASTER VEGA range instruments/indicators from MGL AVIONICS includes different 2 1/4" (57mm) microprocessor based color display instruments operating over a wide supply voltage range of 8 to 30V DC with with built in reverse and over voltage protection. They are non certified and only suitable for installation in experimental and sport (LSA) aircraft. Using a high resolution color graphics display, these instruments/indicators provide excellent daylight readability with built in backlighting making them easy to read at night time. They include a rotary control plus 2 independent keys for easy menu navigation and to access specific instrument features. Sensors are also offered to enhance their functionality. The MGL AVIONICS STRATOMASTER VEGA Series instruments/Indicators include: Artificial Horizon & Magnetic Compass Display, Altimeter/VSI, ASI, ASI/VSI, Engine Monitoring System (EMS), Fuel Computer, Information Display, Manifold Pressure, Température, RPM, Hobbs, Universal Engine/Rotor RPM, Hobbs, 4-Channel Thermocouple (EGT/CHT), 4 Channel Universal Analog Input (Pressure/Temperature/Voltage/Current) and NAVCOM Control head for MGL N16 NAV/COMM or V16 COMM VHF.
