AL2024 is an aluminium alloy, with copper as the primary alloying element. It is used in applications requiring high strength to weight ratio, as well as good fatigue resistance, weldablility and average machinability. Sourced from quality manufacturers and offered as part of AVIATIONEU NEW ERA product lines, MS21069/MS21070 Series are fixed self-locking, two lug, reduced rivet spacing low height miniature nut plates (*). MS21069 series nut plates are made from cadmium plated steel while those of MS21070 series from corrosion resistant steel (CRES). They come in different Unified Thread sizes with plain or countersunk rivet holes on each side,  with or without a dry film lube. 

Nut plates with a dry film lube are specified by the letter "L" in the part number while those with countersunk rivet holes are specified by the letter "K" at the end of the part number.

4130 alloy steel (Chrome Moly) seamless round tubes are offered in Normalized (N )  or Annealed (A) conditions as part of our own branded (AVIATIONEU NEW ERA) product lines. They have been for years the standard of the aircraft industry. These tubes offer good strength and weldability without compromising steel abrasion or impact resistance and can also be made even stronger through heat treatment. AL2024, the so-called aircraft aluminum, is an aluminium alloy, with copper as the primary alloying element. It is used in applications requiring high strength to weight ratio, as well as good fatigue resistance, weldablility and average machinability. The addition of copper to this alloy makes 2024 one of the strongest aluminum alloys. It comes in different tempers (O without heat treatment or T with heat treatment). It is non-magnetic and heat treatable but it also is more succeptible to corrosion than most other aluminum alloys. 

Due to the poor corrosion resistance of this alloy  it is often clad (specified as CLAD or ALCLAD) in which case high-purity aluminium surface layers are metallurgically bonded to the aluminium alloy core material. 2024-T3 is typically used in structures where a high strength to weight ratio is necessary, clock parts, computer parts, hydraulic parts, bolts, valves, nuts, pistons, and gears.

Aluminum alloys 6061 and 6063 (AL6061/AL6063), with magnesium and silicon as their major alloying elements, are both popular alloys used in extrusions for a variety of architectural, machinery, equipment, and consumer products. MS21048/NAS680 Series nutplates (*) are offered as part of AVIATIONEU NEW ERA product lines. Sourced from quality manufacturers these low height fixed self-locking two-lug nutplates are made from corrosion resistant steel (CRES) with a passivated finish. They are same as those of MS21047 series except that they are made from stainless steel 450F or 800F with silver plating. They have a nylon insert and are available in different Unified thread sizes, with plain rivet or countersunk rivet holes on each side and come with or without a dry film lube. MS21048 nutplates supercede AN362, AN366, NAS680  and are superseded by NASM21048 series.

AN315/NASM315 Series hex plain nuts are manufactured from steel and cadmium plated per QQ-P-416A, Type II, Class 3, corrosion resistance steel or aluminum alloys. The AN315 nuts have been superseded by NASM315 Series. Similar to common nuts  but with a rugged construction they are designed and built with aviation grade materials and to specific aviation design specifications. They can carry the same high tension load as the AN310 castle nuts and require an auxiliary locking device such as a check nut or lock washer.

Steel alloy 4130 (ST4130),aka Chrome Moly,after the 2 key composition elements,chromium & molybdenum,is a general-purpose alloy steel widely used by the aviation and motorsports industries due to its weldability, fabrication and mild hardenability in all offered forms (tubes, bars/rods, sheets and plates). Available in two material states (Normalized and Annealed) depending on the process of how the material is heated and cooled.The Normalized condition (aka "Condition N") is the harder and stronger condition, best used when forming is not needed while the Annealed condition (aka "Condition A") is the softer and formable condition.

4130 steel bars/rods in round, rectangullar (flat), square and hexagonal shapes (cross sections) are offered as part of our own branded (AVIATIONEU NEW ERA) product lines. Sourced from quality producers, most of these bars/rods are produced, unless otherwise specified, as “Cold Finished Normalized” (aka “Condition D4”), indicated by the letters "NRZ" and  "CF" in the product SKUs. They come in different dimesions in inches and cut to order (CTO) lengths in feet (*) and meet several AMS specifications, most common being AMS-S-6758 and AMS- 6348. They are widely used in a variety of applications due to their excellent strength to weight ratio,weldability by all conventional methods and resistance to scaling and oxidation.

In this case, appearing prices are per 3 feet length and the Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) is 3 pieces for each of selected rod/bar. Required cut lengths should be specified at the time of ordering.

AL2024 is an aluminium alloy, with copper as the primary alloying element. It is used in applications requiring high strength to weight ratio, as well as good fatigue resistance, weldablility and average machinability. It comes in different tempers (O without heat treatment or T with heat treatment).

AL2024 bars/rods are offered as part of our own branded (AVIATIONEU NEW ERA) product lines along with those from other aluminum and steel alloys (e.g. AL5052, AL6061, AL7050, AL7075, ST4130, ST4140 etc.). They come in different cross sections such as round, rectangular,hexagonal or square. Like other AL2024 products, these bars/rods can be used in an extensive list of applications in aerospace, automotive and many other industrial sectors.

AVIATIONEU NEW ERA Aluminum 2024-T3 (heat treated) round rods are sourced from quality producers. They are offered in different diameters  in inches and cut to order lengths from 1 foot to 12 feet in increments of 1 foot. Appearing price is per foot. Structural screws are made of alloy steel, are properly heat treated, and can be used as structural bolts. Those commonly used in aircraft applications are manufactured to aerospace/military standards/specifications. They are offered as part of our own branded (AVIATIONEU NEW ERA) product lines structured in different series based on the standard of their conformance. Some of the screws commonly used include NAS204 through NAS235 and AN509/AN525 series. 

AN525/AN525R Series high-strength structural washer head (AN525) and cross-recessed (Phillips) head (AN525R) screws, fabricated from alloy steel per specification QQ-S-689. Tensile strength 125,000 PSI. Cadmium plated per QQ-P-416A, Type II, Class 3.  

The AN525 washer head structural screws provide a large contact area. The AN509R (100° countersunk) Phillips head screws are used in countersunk holes where a flush surface is necessary. These have been replaced by MS24694 Series structural screws of the respective materials and finishes.

Structural screws have a definite grip and the same shear strength as a bolt of the same size. Shank tolerances are similar to AN hex head bolts, and the threads are National Fine. Structural screws are available with round, brazier, or countersunk heads. The recessed head screws are driven by either a Phillips or a Reed and Prince screwdriver.
