AVIATIONEU NEW ERA Aircraft...

Aircraft cables are stranded wires used in a wide variety of applications on or around the aircraft including flight control surfaces and tie-downs or other purposes. The term "wire rope" is also used when the diameter is larger than 3/8 inch (9.52 mm), with smaller gauges designated as cables or cords. They are specified by the number of strands times the number of wires in each strand. For example, “7x19” means the cable has seven (7) strands, with 19 wires in each strand. 7x19 is the most flexible aircraft cable construction, approximately twice as flexible as 7x7 construction.

AVIATIONEU NEW ERA aircraft ropes/cables feature smooth finish, corrosion resistance and high load bearing strength. They feature a tensile strength of 1570-1960 MPA, are sourced by certified manufacturers, competitively priced and offered in the common construction types (1X7, 7x17, 1x19, 7x19 ) in Galvanized or Stainless Steel, different diameters ( 9 -12mm for cables, 5-52 mm for ropes) and cut to order lengths in meters. Unit of measure and sale is the meter and the Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) is 500 meters.  Appearing price is for reference only per meter. Please contact us for a quotation.

AVIATIONEU NEW ERA Wire...

AVIATIONEU NEW ERA wire rope slings complements our range of wire cables/ropes providing mechanically spliced, hand spliced or socket robustly manufactured slings made from high grade 1770/1960 raw material. Hand and mechanically spliced slings are offered in different eye/loop types (soft, hard, plain thimble, solid thimble) in different diameters up to 60 mm. The hand spliced slings are of different contruction types (6X19,7X19,6X7) and feature sturdiness, strong construction, long service life and dimensional accuracy. They are offered as galvanized, UN galvanized, and stainless steel and can be used with different fittings (ring, hook, D shackle, turnbuckle). The mechanically spliced  galvanized steel and stainless steel slings are aasy to use, of different contruction types (6X7,7X7,6X19,7X19,6X37,7X37,6X36,7X36) and feature corrosion resistance, high strength and long service life.  The slings with socket from stainless steel are offered in  diameters 5-10 mm in plain eye, hard loop and plain thimble eye/loop types. Sold by the piece with Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) 100 pieces.  Appearing price is for reference only per piece. Please contact us for a quotation.

AVIATIONEU NEW ERA T-Handle...

Wire/cable dash controls are locking units securing wires/cables from turning loose from vibrations. These controls can be mounted from front or rear of instrument panel.

T-handle dash controls are offered as part of our own branded (AVIATIONEU NEW ERA) product lines. They are sourced from quality manufacturers and made from duralumin and brass. One-fourth turn locks them in any position. T-handle dash controls have a width of 1-3/4" and a standard 2-1/2" travel. They can hold up to 100 lbs. These controls are offered in single or two wire versions and come complete with wire(s) and casing which may be shortened.

In the two-wire T-handle dash controls, two cables come out of the T-handle. The inside wire is .073" and the outer housing is 2" OD. Single wire T-Handle dash controls are available in three models with 5, 8 or 12 feet cables with the following specifications:

McFARLANE® AVIATION...

An extensive range of standard MIL-SPEC and Cessna pulleys and pulley kits is offered by McFARLANE® AVIATION. The kits contain all pulleys and cotter pins required to replace all flight control system pulleys in one airplane containing the respective part numbers and quantities required. Different McFarlane pulley series include:

MCS378 Series phenolic flight control pulleys with ball bearings, FAA-PMA approved replacements for the Cessna S378, A-/BB-, and NAS383- series pulleys on Cessna Aircraft. The MCS378- series pulleys supersede these for most Cessna aircraft applications and  feature high quality sealed precision ball bearings, superior to low grade, open seal bearings used in the Cessna S378-()L light duty series pulleys that they replace.

MS20219 Series aircraft secondary control pulleys, superseding the respective AN219 series pulleys are offered either with high pressure laminated phenolic sheave (MS20219 Series) or aluminum alloy sheave anodized per MIL-A-8625 (MS20219A Series), both with fixed ball bearing with contact seal. The aluminum body is recommended for -1 and -3 pulleys. The -1 pulley should not be installed in flight control systems.

MS20220 Series phenolic flight control pulleys with ball bearings. These supersede the AN220- Series pulleys of like dash number.

MS24566 Series phenolic flight control pulleys with ball bearings. MS24566 pulleys can be used to replace the corresponding AN210 pulleys designated by the letters "A" or "B" in their dash numbers as they differ in the maximum load limit.

NAS383 Series phenolic commercial grade pulleys with graphite impregnated bronze sleeve bearings. These are typically used with a bushing. The MCS378 pulley replaces both the NAS383 pulley and it's bushing.

S394, S1052-1/ S1710-1 Cessna nylon pulleys with no bearings.

S378-4S Cessna pulley similar to S378-4 but with smaller diameter. Used on Cessna airplanes 177RG s/n 177RG0202 and on, and F177RG0038 and on for routing stabilator, stabilator trim, and rudder cables. Six required per aircraft.

TEXTRON AVIATION Aircraft...

Different flight control cables, cable assemblies and related parts for use on Cessna aircraft. for use on Textron Aviation Cessna, Beechcraft and Hawker aircraft. Also available as FAA-PMA approved parts from other manufacturers.

McFARLANE® AVIATION FAA PMA...

McFARLANE® AVIATION  is one of a few DOD QML-6117 certified manufacturers of aircraft cable assemblies with over 4,500 cable assemblies and chains in stock. The flight control cables meet the highest standards possible and exceed the military specifications governing the respective cables.

McFARLANE® AVIATION cables are FAA-PMA approved and offered in corrosion resistant stainless or high strength galvanized steel for most 100 and 200 series Cessna aircraft, PA28, PA32, and PA34 series Piper aircraft and G-164 series Ag-Cat aircraft. The company also stocks cables for single engine piston and many turbine and twin engine Beechcraft, and stabilator adjust cables for Piper J3, PA11, PA12, PA14, PA16, PA18, PA18A, PA20 and PA22 aircraft.

Galvanized carbon steel and stainless cables are soaked in a Mil-SPEC rust preventative and lubricating compound. The advantages of galvanized steel cables are their wear resistance and cost. Galvanized cables resist abrasion wear four or five times longer than those of stainless steel. Their use is recommended except in coastal geographical areas, agricultural aircraft, float planes, and other applications where the cable is exposed directly to water. In these cases stainless steel cables should be preferred.

Stainless steel cables are high in nickel and much softer than those of carbon steel. They will show signs of wire wear at pulleys and fairleads much quicker than the galvanized carbon steel wires. In addition, stainless steel cables cost about 30% more than galvanized steel cables.

McFARLANE® AVIATION cables are sold separately or in kits for convenience and economy. Flight control cable and trim chain kits are available for most single engine aircraft from the Cessna model 120 through model 210 and cable kits for most Beechcraft and Piper single engine airplanes.
