AVIATIONEU NEW ERA Integral...

Countersinking is used to ensure that flat head screws or fasteners sit flush against the workpiece. Countersinks used in aerospace and industrial applications are made of durable materials such as High Speed Steel (HSS) known for its hardness, toughness, and ability to withstand high temperatures. High Speed Steel (HSS) countersinks are well suited for cutting aluminum sheet metals. When combined with Cobalt, an alloying agent in steels to improve the hardenability, strength, and wear resistance in machining applications but also due to its ability to resist wear at higher temperatures, the  respective countersinks are often used for cutting stainless steel and other aluminum alloys.

Sourced from quality suppliers, integral (fixed) pilot Microstop countersink cutters are offered as part of our own labeled (AVIATIONEU NEW ERA) product lines. Made from HSS or HSS Steel with Cobalt, they consist ideal tools for aircraft manufacturers, aircraft maintenance/ repair stations or  industrial manufacturers for precise and accurate countersinking, cost-effective alternatives to other OEM products and and stocked by our suppliers for fast deliveries.

Offered in different flutes, body and pilot diameters and sold  either separately (*) or in custom sets to address specific customer needs in machining applications.

Because of the difference in composition between HSS and Cobalt, main strengths of HSS countersinks are their high hardness and wear resistance. Therefore, as a general rule, they consist a better choice when you want your countersinks to retain their strength even when exposed to extreme wear or abuse. For higher hardenability, strength, and wear resistance and in applications when when countersinks are to be exposed to extremely high temperatures, cobalt countersinks should best be used.

AVIATIONEU NEW ERA countersinks can be used with popular adjustable or Microstop countersinking units utilizing a threaded shank drive (sold separately). For additional information please consult the supplied documentation or contact us.

(*) Minimum Order Quantities apply depending on the selected countersinks or their sets.

AVATIONEU NEW ERA Aluminum...

Blind rivets (also commonly referred to as POP Rivets) are mainly used in applications where there is no access to the rear (blind side) of the joint. Rivets have a two-piece construction, the rivet body, shell, or hat and the stem or mandrel. Both the hat and mandrel are pre-assembled and ready to use. Rivets are installed by using a riveting tool to draw the mandrel which causes the body to deform and clamp down on the joint. Upon reaching the designed clamping force, the mandrel snaps and is discarded. A benefit of blind rivets is that they are not material specific and therefore they can be used to combine two different material types together. Furthermore, there is no way to over or under-torque a rivet. If the appropriate diameter and grip range are chosen correctly, the rivet will be installed perfectly every time.

Sourced by quality suppliers, blind rivets, offered as part of our own labelled (AVIATIONEU NEW ERA) product lines, come in different materials, sizes, military or industrial standards and packing options to meet different application requirements. They are intended for use in a wide range of applications including  aircrafts, ships, submersibles, RVs, trailers,  machinery, small electronics, structural beams and others. Please refer to the individual product presentations to find the rivet which best suits your needs.

Consistent torque on installed fasteners is achieved through the integrated functions of the system working together. A carefully regulated breakoff groove in the self-locking HI-LOK™ collar  (separately presented) provides uniform preload values by separating when the correct torque level is reached. This controlled preload of each HI-LOK™ in the structure improves the fatigue life of the airframe significantly when compared to other fastening systems, including swaged collar type. HI-LOK™ pins and HI-LOK™ collars offer extremely precise dimensions making these fasteners commonly used in space, military, and commercial aviation application. They are both threaded and require common installation tools making  HI-LOK™ fasteners easy to install and remove.

HI-LITE™ rivet pins, are the direct evolution of HI-LOK™ series, replacing them for improved weight saving. The HI-LITE™ pins can be used for clearance, or low interference fit throughout aircraft, from wings to fuselage, in engine fairings, and more. Combined with HI-LITE™ nuts and collars, they provide up to 13% weight saving compared to the previous HI-LOK™generation. Both HI-LOK™ and HI-LITE™ rivet pins are also available with ASTER improved recess (HSTR pins) that prevents failure during the assembly process,  especially suited for clearance fit assemblies of composite structures.

HI-TIGUE™ pin series has improved fatigue benefits by combining the hole-improvement qualities of the HI-TIGUE™ pins and the consistent preloading qualities of the HI-LOK™ collars.
