Commercial (Civil) Aircraft...

Aircraft braking systems serve a vital function during takeoff, landing and taxiing. Along with landing gear, aircraft wheels and brakes are critical to ensure safe and reliable aircraft ground operations under extreme forces, stress, as well as wear and tear from general operation and the environment. Aircraft brakes are arranged in multiple disk pairs, which are commonly referred to as brake Heat Sink. As aircraft brakes convert the kinetic energy of the moving airplane to heat energy, they are also referred to as Heat Packs made of steel or carbon fibres. Conventional metal (steel) brakes are gradually replaced by carbon brakes (particularly on larger, long-haul commercial airplanes) due to their higher efficiency in braking applications, lower weight and resulting less fuel consumption and lower CO2 emission by the engines. 

Commercial aircraft braking systems are produced by by leading manufacturers such as Honeywell Aerospace, Collins Aerospace/Goodrich Wheels & Brakes, Parker Meggitt Aircraft Braking Systems and Safran Landing Systems (formerly Messier-Bugatti-Dowty) and offered as OEM products/parts for an extensive list of commercial aircraft platforms. Carbon and steel heat packs are also offered as part of our own labelled (AVIATIONEU NEW ERA) product lines. The factory overhauled magnetos are sourced by CHAMPION AEROSPACE authorized overhauling stations and adhere to strict CHAMPION AEROSPACE restrictions on the use of parts and service literature.

(*) In accordance with CHAMPION AEROSPACE Overhaul Manual L-1363F, the magneto should be overhauled at TBO, lightning strike, prop strike, sudden stoppage of the engine and immersion of the aircraft.

(**) NEW EXCHANGE or FACTORY OVERHAULED EXCHAGE Slick magnetos are offered in exchange of an existing customer owned unit (core) for a quick turn around. A refundable core charge is included in the selling price. This is refunded or credited towards future orders with us when a qualified core is returned and its condition is approved by our co-operating supplier within 60 days of the date of the purchase invoice. As a general rule, approvals of core returns for FACTORY OVERHAULED Slick magnetos are granted to cores of the current series of these magnetos while for NEW EXCHANGE Slick Magnetos, cores of older series of Slick magnetos can be considered for credit on a case by case basis. In all cases, the approval of a returned core remains at the exclusive discretion of our co-operating supplier and shipping back to the customer of non-approved cores are subject to additional charges.

AS27643/MS27643 Series...

The MS27643/AS27643 series airframe control bearings are offered by various manufacturers. They are  double row, ball, self-aligning, heavy duty bearings produced in accordance with AS7949 specification.

Depending on the manufacturer, rings and balls of these bearings are produced from premium quality AISI 52100 chrome steel or CRES 440C materials.  External surfaces (except bore, caps, and seals) are cadmium plated per AMS-QQ-P-416 or zinc nickel plated per OEM specifications. They include PTFE seals, CRES sealcaps and they are prelubricated. They are offered in different sizes but custom sizes, materials, tolerances, radial internal clearances, lubrication, plating, etc., can also be offered upon request.

Operating temperature range: -65 to +250 °F.

SUPERIOR PANEL TECHNOLOGY...

SUPERIOR PANEL TECHNOLOGY (SPT) has developed a brighter, more uniform and longer lasting glare shield lighting system. The 18” x 1” glow strip electroluminescent lamps provide a beautiful fluorescent-like aviation green or a white light output. The ultra-thin lamps (.065 including the adhesive backing) are very flexible and conform to the curves of the underside of the glare shield. The SPT Glow Strips meet the FAA 23.853 burn test. Inverters are included with the kit. They are offered with or without a dimmer. The recommended dimmer for the strips is the Pulse Width Modulating (PWM) dimmer by SPT. Optional 14V or 28V battery back-up systems are available and recommended. SPT offers LIFETIME warranty on the Glow Strip lamps and 5-year warranty on the PWM dimmers.

HONEYWELL AEROSPACE Sealing...

HONEYWELL AEROSPACE seals are engine parts widely used in aerospace applications. They are also available as FAA-PMA parts from other manufacturers. Supply of the specific parts can be effected either as OEM part numbers or any of respective FAA-PMA  part numbers subject to their availability by our suppliers.

P/N: 2-300-778-01 Fuel Manifold Gasket Seal is used in combustor turbine modules. It is also available as FAA-PMA part with alternative P/N: DEC2-300-778-01 by HEICO AEROSPACE and P/N: NK1004054-10 by EATON CORPORATION. 

BAS TSO'd Aircraft Rear...

B.A.S TSO'd rear lap belts and harnesses are manufactured especially for B.A.S., Inc. by AM-SAFE Inc. They are available in different versions including Lap Belts Only, Fixed 3 Point Harness, Inertia 3 point Harness and Y Fixed Harness. They must be special ordered due to the many lengths, styles, and attach fittings available. Price is indicative and per seat. It can differentiate depending on order requirements and quantities. Special Order Item. Non-cancellable/non-returnable (NCNR) once the order is placed.

Optional Accessories available at additional cost. They can be ordered only as part of a respective order of a B.A.S  Shoulder Harness/Lap Belt System:

BAS Padded Neck Cuffs. Padded neck cuffs from a soft suede material to add comfort and prevent chaffing. Available in Black, Tan, and Grey colors. Please specify color at the time of ordering.

BAS Seat Belt Protector Sheaths. Protector sheaths are made from hard plastic to help protect lap belts from possible damage due to seat tracks, articulating seats, and doors.

Aircraft Engine Oil...

An oil pressure sensor is a device used to measure the oil pressure on an engine. The term oil pressure sensor is often used to denote  at least two different and distinct types of sensor - an oil pressure switch and and oil pressure sender.

An oil pressure switch is an egine protection device. It is a mechanical device that has a switch inside. The oil pressure switch may be 1, 2, or 3 insulated terminals (pins). Traditionally most oil switches for protection close when they activate, to show low oil pressure. 

An oil pressure sender is a device that senses the oil pressure of an engine and transmits it to the engine or machine controller. It is used as a generator protection device, to display the oil pressure to a user or for logging and diagnostic purposes. Unlike an oil pressure switch, it can display a range of readings.

Oil pressure sensors are used aircrafts and offered either as parts from the respective OEMs or as replacement parts from third parties. They are alternatively termed as HOBBS switches.

Please refer to the manufacturer Illustrated Part Cataloge (IPC) or the technical specifications of offered sensiors to select the right sensor for your application.

SAF-AIR CAV Series FAA-PMA...

Made from 14L 12 steel and cadmium plated, SAF-AIR FAA-PMA approved push type fuel drain valves are close tolerance valves of simple design. These valves provide the most trouble free operation of any other line of valves in the industry. SAF-AIR valves are manufactured with an o-ring placed on the stem to seal against a flat seat on the body. This design eliminates an area where dirt can gather, thus putting an end to the main cause of fuel drain valve drip. Available in eight models in two styles with or without 1/4" hose adapter.

ACS 15144 'L' Shaped...

ACS Model 15144 'L' shaped, aluminium pitot heads are simple, inexpensive, good-quality suitable for homebuilts. They are available either as pitot only or pitot static. Both have flange mounting to aid underwing fitting.

ACS 10700 Unvented Flush...

The ACS unvented flush fuel cap operates with a lift and turn lever. This cap has a 3" opening for easy refueling. Cap & adapter ring are anodized "clear" for corrosion resistance. Cap is fastened to adapter ring with safety chain.

All-metal gascolator for use with aviation fuel and standard auto fuel with S.S. screen, 1-7/8" dia. cadmium plated steel bowl w/quick drain. Top is CNC machined from 6061-T6 aluminum. 10585HP High Pressure Gascolator - High Pressure gascolator with lighter weight and simpler design

New ACS high pressure gascolator. Lighter weight and simpler design than the ACS "classic" gascolator. Bailwire and attaching hardware have been eliminated. Threaded collar secures bowl to top. Tested to 50lbs. Bowl is cadmium plated and top and collar are anodized for corrosion protection. Top has 1/4" pipe ports for 3/8" fuel line and one 1/8" pipe port for primer fitting.

Versatile bracket of .016 stainless steel accommodates gascolators with either metal or glass bowl. When mounted as illustrated, inlet and outlet connections are on sides. PARKER HANNIFIN AIRBORNE...

The PARKER AIRBORNE designs and manufactures motor driven fuel fuel  boost and transfer pumps and is part of the PARKER AEROSPACE GROUP of the PARKER HANNIFIN CORPORATION. These pumps consist standard equipment by the world's leading airframe manufacturers. The PARKER AIRBORNE product range includes:

ALASKAN BUSHWHEEL FAA TSO...

AIRFRAMES ALASKA designs and manufactures ALASKAN BUSHWHEEL (ABI) wheels & brakes and tires made for flying and landing off-field in the most rugged backcountry conditions. ABI tires absorb the energy of rough landings, taking the brunt of the impact off the pilots, wheels, gear, and airframe. Unlike your standard aircraft tires, Bushwheels are tubeless. This distinctive design eliminates the problem of tire slippage and stem shearing and makes it possible to run these tires at very low PSI. Different models are offered to suit needs of aircraft operating conditions. ABI tires are FAA TSO C62d approved. Models are available in the following versions and fit standard 6" wheels unless otherwise mentioned:

Standard thread: 3/16"

Heavy thread: 1/4". Heavy tread 26" ABI tires are constructed with a thicker tread layer. Suitable for pilots operating their aircraft on pavement between backcountry flights.

The 26" ABI tires are designed and handcrafted for use on lighter aircraft such as Cessna 182 & Cessna 206. They're also the ideal "entry level" bush tires for pilots upgrading from standard tube type aviation tires for the first time.

A step up in terms of size, 29" ABI tires have a slighter profile and create less drag than larger Bushwheels. This places these bush tires in size/weight sweet spot for heavier aircraft like Cessna and Maule while still providing the footprint and energy absorption critical in bush landings. 

The 31" ABI tires are handcrafted featuring an impressive ratio of weight to size. Their solid footprint makes these bush tires the de facto standard for bush pilots.

The 35" ABI tires are designed for the most rugged off-airport operations. They require ABI 10650 10" wheels.

The 35" Beaver ABI tires stand up to the heavier load of de Havilland Beaver and Pilatus aircraft with a gross weight up to 5600 lbs (2800 static load rating per tire).

ANDAIR FS25 Series 1/2"...

Manufactured to the highest standards, the Andair standard fuel selector range incorporates 1/4"(FS16), 3/8"(FS20) and the 1/2"(FS25) valves. These valves allow for multiple tank switching of one fuel line. Duplex fuel selectors are also offered  (see separate product presentations). FS16, FS20 and FS25 series of fuel selectors are designed for safety, provide a precise and smooth feel in operation  and come in different types, ranging from Type 1 ON/OFF shut off valves to valves with multiple positions. To prevent the pilot switching the wrong tank or turning the fuel off they feature  a large red lever with 'Fuel' engraved on it and a clearly labelled fascia plate to indicate which tank has been selected. Type 1 (FS25-1): ON / OFF Shut Off valve for 1/2" fuel lines. There is a 90 degree action between the two positions and included with the valve is the safety button. 

Type 2 (FS25-2): Three way 3/8” fuel selector with positions LEFT-RIGHT-OFF and a 90 degree action between each tank selection. No lower fitting for use where there is little space behind the valve. 

Type 3 (FS25-3): Three way selector with positions LEFT - RIGHT - OFF. No lower fitting. This valve has inlets ports at the Left and Right hand side and the outlet towards the front.

Type 4 (FS25-4): Designed for high wing aircraft, it has four lever positions OFF - LEFT - BOTH – RIGHT with a 90 degree action between each position.There are 3 ports. The lower port is the outlet to the engine and can be Male AN-8, Female 3/8 NPT or a  360 degree Banjo adjustable fitting with a male AN-8 end.

Type 5 (FS25-5): 4 way Fuel Selector ( 3 tanks and OFF ) with positions LEFT - MAIN - RIGHT - OFF, each at 90 degree intervals. The inlet ports are around the side of the valve and the outlet is at the bottom of the valve.

Type 4 (FS16x4): Designed for high wing aircraft, it has four lever positions OFF - LEFT - BOTH – RIGHT with a 90 degree action between each position.On the FS16x4 there are 3 ports. The lower port is the outlet to the engine is 1/8 NPT Female. The inlet, side ports are 1/8 NPT Female and are at the 9 o'clock and 12 o'clock positions when looking at the valve with the brass ball spindle pointing upwards. At the 3 o'clock position there is a blanking plate that covers up a PTFE gland opposing the forces of the other 2 PTFE glands.

Type 2 and Type 4 valves do not allow cross feed between each tank when the selector is in the OFF position.

ANDAIR FS2020/FS2520 Series...

The Andair standard fuel selector valve range incorporates 1/4"(FS16), 3/8"(FS20) and the 1/2"(FS25) valves. These valves allow for multiple tank switching of one fuel line. 

Manufactured to the highest standards, all Andair fuel selector valves are designed for safety, provide a precise and smooth feel in operation and can be supplied with custom engraving. They feature  a large red lever with 'Fuel' engraved on it and a clearly labelled fascia plate to indicate which tank has been selected. It allows for a good solid detent at each tank position and also the button on top of the lever must be raised to switch the fuel off. All these features help prevent the pilot switching the wrong tank or turning the fuel off.

Andair duplex fuel selector valves have two separate compartments so that two independent fuel lines can be switched simultaneously making them ideal for fuel injected or diesel engines where there needs to be a return line. It allows to pipe surplus fuel to the same tank from which it was drawn. This avoids overfilling the return tank or having an overly complicated fuel system. 

FS2020(*) fuel selector valves feature two 3/8" sections for feed & return. FS2520(*) fuel selector valves feature one 1/2" feed section and one 3/8" return section. Both can be supplied with different ANDAIR fittings to meet application requirements. 

Engines that can benefit from these valves are Surburu, Continental, Rotax, and Diesel aircraft engines.

Aircraft cables are stranded wires used in a wide variety of applications on or around the aircraft including flight control surfaces and tie-downs or other purposes. In contrast to the commercial cables, aircraft  cables undergo extensive testing and are lubricated providing substantially better fatigue life. 

The term "wire rope" is also used when the cable diameter is larger than 3/8 inch (9.52 mm), with smaller gauges designated as cables or cords. They are specified by the number of strands times the number of wires in each strand. For example, “7x19” means the cable has seven (7) strands, with 19 wires in each strand. 7x19 is the most flexible aircraft cable construction, approximately twice as flexible as 7x7 construction.

7 X 7 Flexible Control Cable has seven strands of seven wires each. Used for control purposes where extreme flexibility is not required but where abrasion is a factor.

7 X 19 Flexible Control Cable has seven strands of 19 wires each. Its greater metallic area makes it stronger than 7 X 7 cable. Because of its fine wires the best service is obtained where abrasion is not too severe. These same wires, however, make it flexible to meet severe bending.

1 X 19 Non-Flexible Cable has one strand of 19 wires. It has more metallic area than 7 x 7 or 7 x 19 constructions which makes it the strongest but also the least flexible. 1 x 19 is generally used for bracing purposes, drag and anti-drag wires. It is often used with swage type terminals.

When compliance to MIL specifications is not required, other more economical galvanized or stainless steel cables of the above construction types are also offered for aircraft uses. Sourced from certified manufacturers, they  feature a tensile strength of 1570-1960 MPA and are available in different metric diameters ( 9 -12mm for cables, 5-52 mm for ropes) and cut to order lengths in meters. BRS AEROSPACE™ Whole...

BRS AEROSPACE™ has first invented the first Whole Aircraft Rescue Parachute System (WARPS) in 1980 currently being installed on more than 35,000 aircraft. Today the company offers a wide range of WARPS suitable as retrofits to Cessna series 172 and Cessna 182, as standard installations on Cirrus SR20 and SR22 models but also for installations on LSA and experimental aircraft.

BRS WARPS are offered in 3 different types:

Canister. The BRS Canister is waterproof when the original factory seal remains intact, making it the perfect design for exterior installations. With a six year repack schedule and versatile mounting hardware, it is one of the most popular systems.

Softpack. The BRS Softpack is best suited for aircraft manufactur-ers that require a ballistic parachute mounted inside their aircraft. When mounted internally, this system also has a six year repack schedule.

VLS - Vertical Launch System. Built specifically for aircraft with limited interior space, the VLS (Vertical Launch System) installs on top of the wing or fuselage. Upward firing works well with pusher designed aircraft

A small solid-fuel rocket is used to pull the parachute out from its housing and deploy the canopy fully within seconds. Typically on ultralight installations the rocket is mounted on the parachute container. On larger aircraft installations the rocket may be remotely mounted. The current version, BRS-6. has a separate rocket installation that can be removed from the parachute so that the parachute can be sent for re-packing without the problems of trying to ship the rocket along with it. Typically the parachute requires repacking every six years and the rocket requires replacing every 12 years.
